The Dolphins are marching towards the finals after consecutive wins, and they are favourites to hand the Broncos another loss.

The Dolphins bounced back from a 66-0 loss to the Sharks with consecutive wins, and they should be too good for the Broncos, who won’t be defending their title.

The Broncos have lost four of their last five games, and after scoring just six points against the Knights last week, we can’t bet on them with any amount of confidence. Therefore, we’re taking the Dolphins -7.5.

Their last two wins over the Cowboys and Dragons were tidy, and although the level of opposition wasn’t fantastic, they’re a team that could make an impact next month, and they have one of the best backlines in the NRL.

Covering a -7.5 line isn’t too difficult for a team that can pile on the points quickly, and given Brisbane’s attitude last week, we can’t see them being competitive against the Dolphins.

Selwyn Cobbo is having a big year for the Dolphins, and his recent form has been excellent. He has seven tries from his last five games, including a double last week, and the $1.74 odds to score a try are too good to leave out of NRL picks.

The same goes for Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, who has three tries from his last five games. He’s one of the best supporting players in the NRL, and the Broncos’ defence isn’t quick enough to keep up with him.
