Dragons vs. Wests Tigers Predictions – NRL Round 18 2026

The NRL continues with Round 18 action between the Dragons vs. Wests Tigers on Saturday, July 4 at 5:30pm at Jubilee Stadium.

Desperation has sunk in for the Dragons and Tigers, who need a win to boost confidence levels.

Best Bet

Dragons +5.5 @ $1.90

News broke on Wednesday that Jarome Luai will miss the game, which is a big omission for the Tigers, so we’re going with the Dragons.

Luai is a key part of the Tigers’ backline, and although we firmly have him in the overrated camp, they don’t have much experience in the halves with him out of the side.

The Dragons were unlucky last week when losing to the Raiders. They allowed a couple of second half tries that were flukey, so it was a better performance than it looked. They need to work on their goal line attack, but apart from that, the defence is solid.

The Tigers are a physical team, but they could struggle to score points, having scored only one try last week. That wasn’t a good showing against Newcastle, so take the Dragons to keep it close with the +5.5 start.

Same Game Multi

Dragons +5.5, Tyrell Sloan Anytime Try Scorer, Setu Tu Anytime Try Scorer, Under 48.5 @ $13.00

Tyrell Sloan is one of the most inconsistent players in the NRL, but he scored two tries last week, and we’re happy to include him in NRL SGM picks. He has elite speed, and if his work ethic was better, he could have many more tries. The $1.98 odds to score this week are worth snapping up.

Setu Tu has a try in four of his last five games, and although his defence is shaky, he knows how to score tries. We have him scoring against the Tigers, who could struggle to contain him close to the line.

Under 48.5 points is a solid multi bet pick. The Tigers scored only six points last week, and without Luai, their attack won’t be improved.

Best Value Bet

Dragons 1-12 @ $3.60

We think the Dragons deserve to win the game, and they have enough talent to get past the Tigers.

They have experienced players across the park, including Valentine Holmes, and the former Queensland star needs to start delivering.

Playing at home helps, and the $3.60 odds for a 1-12 win is a value price from bookmakers.
