Eels vs. Warriors Predictions

The NRL continues with Round 9 action between the Eels vs. Warriors on Saturday, May 2 at 5:30pm at CommBank Stadium.

The Warriors are shooting for four straight wins, as they look to chase down the top spot on the NRL ladder.

With only two losses this season, the Warriors are playing well, and they should have too many weapons for the Eels.

Their only losses came when Luke Metcalf played, and he didn’t look ready to return, especially on defence. The Warriors have won all three games since he was injured, including wins over the Storm, Titans, and Dolphins.

The Eels didn’t show much against the Sea Eagles last week when they lost 33-18. They will need to improve to handle the physicality of the Warriors, and we don’t think they’re up to it. This game will come down to attitude, and the Eels tend to give up easily when things aren’t going their way.

Look for the Warriors to come out fast and give the Eels no chance to win.

Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is always worth including in multis. The Warriors’ winger is a try-scoring machine with seven tries from his last four games, and he’s likely to score in the corner for the Wahs.

It could be a free-flowing game, and although we respect the Warriors’ defence, the final score could be around 36-20, so include over 53.5 points in NRL picks.

The Warriors’ speedster comes off consecutive games with a try-scoring double, and he could get his name on the board early.

He is one of the fastest players in the NRL, and it’s good to see his talent being used in the right way in New Zealand. His confidence levels have increased significantly, and they love getting him the ball early in the game.

Take the $8 available with bookmakers, which is a good enough price to label him as a value bet.
