We have expert tips for NRL Round 16 which kicks off on 4th July with the Dragons vs. Storm.
It’s a short week with State of Origin being played the following Wednesday. Punters still have four quality NRL games to bet on this week.
NRL Round 16 Betting Tips
7:50pm St George Dragons vs. Melbourne Storm @ WIN Stadium
This is the top-placed Storm against the Dragons but with Origin playing havoc with team selection, it should be a close Thursday night contest.
The Dragons are coming off a 22-14 win over the North Queensland Cowboys, so there’s some confidence in the camp. Confidence hasn’t been easy to come by for the Dragons, which languish in 10th position on the ladder.
It wasn’t an easy victory for the Storm last Friday night, but it was a win over the Sydney Roosters. The 14-12 nail biter was a thrilling game, but a handful of players are out this week.
Notables missing will be Cameron Munster, Dale Finucane, Josh Addo-Carr and a host of other quality players.
That being said, the Storm are still the better side and they often perform well throughout the Origin period.

7:55pm Wests Tigers vs. Sydney Roosters @ Bankwest Stadium
The Tigers scored a much-needed win against the Rabbitohs last week and it could give them the shot in the arm they were desperately needing.
They’re currently one position outside of the top eight and with another win this week, they should push into a playoff-bearing position. That’s not going to be easy against the Roosters, but it is helped by Origin duty.
Roosters will be without many stars for Friday night’s game and that could play into the hands of the Tigers. Also, the Roosters aren’t helped by their loss to the Storm last week, which saw them give up an eight-point lead.
Bookmakers have the Tigers as underdogs for this game but they might just pull off an upset.

7.35pm Newcastle Knights vs. New Zealand Warriors @ McDonald Jones Stadium
Kalyn Ponga will be missing from this clash and that isn’t good news for the Knights, but playing against the Warriors is good news.
The Warriors have been awful throughout the middle stages of the season and there’s no way they should have lost against the Panthers on Sunday, but they always manage to find a way.
There’s concerning signs at all levels for the Warriors and we’re predicting Stephen Kearney to be out of a job come the end of the season.
It should be a tough game, however, as the Knights aren’t at full strength. But, we’re expecting the home team to come away with the chocolates at McDonald Jones Stadium.
There’s just no way we can confidently bet on the Warriors right now.

4:05pm Cronulla Sharks vs. Brisbane Broncos @ PointsBet Stadium
The Sharks are coming off a dismal loss to the Canterbury Bulldogs on Sunday night and how they respond will be interesting.
It was a loss that could potentially hurt their playoff chances and it was one most punters didn’t see coming.
Also, something punters didn’t see coming was the 2019 collapse of the Brisbane Broncos. Sitting in 14th position after another loss last week, the Broncos are in a desperate situation.
The season might be all but lost for the Broncos, but the Sharks are still alive and should be able to notch the win on Sunday.
