Raiders vs. Roosters Predictions

The NRL continues with Round 14 action between the Raiders vs. Roosters on Friday, June 5 at 8:00pm at GIO Stadium.

We believe the Raiders are good enough to test the Roosters, and getting a +2.5 start is good enough to include in NRL picks this week.

The Raiders bounced back to winning form with a tough 26-12 win over the Cowboys, where they scored three tries in a five-minute burst. Their Origin stars set the benchmark, including Ethan Strange, who is having a great year.

We didn’t like what we saw from the Roosters against the Storm. We’re not sure if it was Origin fatigue, but Sam Walker and James Tedesco couldn’t get anything going. Walker looked particularly disinterested, and although he’ll be better this week, the Raiders could go on a winning run.

Take the +2.5 line as it could be game decided by a field goal.

Xavier Savage also scored last week, and he’s the current $1.91 favourite for a Raiders to score. His return couldn’t have gone better, so his confidence levels are high.

We’re including over 49.5 points in our NRL SGM picks. They combined for 50 points in their latest contest, and it could be a similar score. We have the Raiders winning 28-26, in a game that could be decided late in the contest.

Not much is expected to separate the Raiders and Roosters, and only two points have separated them in their last two meetings.
