Roosters vs. Broncos Predictions – NRL Round 9 2026

The NRL continues with Round 9 action between the Roosters vs. Broncos on Saturday, May 2 at 7:35pm at Allianz Stadium.

One of the marquee games of the week goes off on Saturday night, where the Broncos could cause an upset.

Best Bet

Broncos +4.5 @ $1.90

The Broncos are showing good toughness in their title defence, and despite being down on numbers, they keep putting wins on the board.

After losing to North Queensland, they have fired back with wins over the Tigers and Bulldogs, and now they eye another Sydney scalp on Saturday. They have the weapons needed to beat the Roosters, who have enjoyed facing easy opponents recently.

The Roosters have won four on the bounce, including recent wins over Newcastle and St George, so the form looks better than it is. We expect the Broncos to expose that and keep the game close as +4.5 underdogs.

Take the line before it shortens to less than a try margin, especially with Reece Walsh back in the team.

Same Game Multi

Broncos +4.5, Reece Walsh Anytime Try Scorer, Josiah Karapani Anytime Try Scorer, Over 51.5 @ $8.00

Walsh makes his eagerly awaited return, and he usually lives up to the occasion. He has four tries from his last five games, and despite returning from injury, he should be fit and ready to give the Roosters’ defence fits.

Josiah Karapani has a try in each of his last three games, and punters get $1.92 for him to score. He’s a good NRL SGM bet addition at the current odds.

It could be one of the more exciting games of the week, and it should mean plenty of tries. Include over 51.5 points in NRL picks to boost payouts.

Best Value Bet

Broncos 1-12 @ $3.60

There is value with the Broncos 1-12 at $3.60. It’s a good price from bookmakers, and although the safer bet is backing the Broncos head-to-head at $2.44, they should win by a close margin.

We can’t see the Broncos scoring a blowout win on the road, and it could come down to which team plays the best in the final 20 minutes.

The current odds make the risk worth the reward, and we expect money to come for the Broncos throughout the week.
