Roosters vs. Knights Predictions

The NRL continues with Round 7 action between the Roosters vs. Knights on Sunday, April 19 at 2:00pm at Allianz Stadium.

The Roosters are firm favourites with NRL odds, and most of the money has come for them to win.

The opening line was Roosters –6.5, so there has been serious money come for the Roosters to hand the Knights another loss.

The Knights suffered a big loss at the hands of the Tigers last week, and bouncing back from that loss could prove difficult against a Roosters team starting to find its groove after wins over Manly and Cronulla.

Their attack has picked up over the last two weeks, scoring 34 and 33 points. That’s enough to win most NRL games, especially against teams that struggle to score like the Knights, who have lost eight of their last nine games against the Roosters.

It’s a matchup that doesn’t suit the Knights, so we’re not surprised to see the line move. The Roosters are good enough to cover the –11.5 spread and win by 14+ points.

Daniel Tupou is at short odds to score his fourth try in three games, and the high-flying Rooster should cross for a four-pointer. He will be targeted all game with the high ball, and Newcastle’s defence could struggle to keep him out at $1.52.

Robert Toia is a $2.15 chance to score, and his physicality close to the line is tough to deny. He scored three tries in his last three games, and after not scoring against the Sharks last week, he’s keen to get his name on the list.

There should be plenty of points up for grabs in Sydney. The Roosters have scored or allowed over 30 points in their last three games, and the Knights allowed 42 points last week, so include over 52.5 points.
