Roosters vs. Sharks Predictions – NRL Round 16 2026

The NRL continues with Round 16 action between the Roosters vs. Sharks on Sunday, June 21 at 6:15pm at Allianz Stadium.

Rounding out the week is a big game between the Roosters and Sharks, where the Roosters are $1.52 favourites turn their form around.

Best Bet

Roosters –5.5 @ $1.90

It has been a tough Origin period for the Roosters, who have lost three of their last four games. However, we have them covering the –5.5 spread against the Sharks.

They were thumped by the Dolphins last week when playing without their stars but getting those players back in the team is a big bonus, and the Sharks are due a loss after winning four on the bounce, including last week against the Warriors.

We’re not discounting how well the Sharks have played, especially after some average form prior. However, the Roosters are an elite team on their day, and this is an important game for them, so we expect the best.

Take the –5.5 line and include the Roosters in NRL picks this week.

Same Game Multi

Roosters -5.5, Mark Nawaqanitawase Anytime Try Scorer, Robert Toia Anytime Try Scorer, Over 49.5 @ $9.00

It was an Origin debut to remember for Mark Nawaqanitawase, who scored a double for the Blues. He has seven tries from his last four NRL games, so he’s playing well, hence the short odds to score a try on Sunday.

Robert Toia isn’t a prolific try scorer for the Roosters, but he’s tough to stop close to the line. He scored a double earlier this season and we have him getting back to his try-scoring best at $2.55 odds. He’s always lurking on the end of a Sam Walker kick, and that’s how he could score.

We predict a high-scoring game where both attacks show aggression. Our final score has the Roosters winning 30-22, so include over 49.5 in NRL SGM picks.

Best Value Bet

Roosters 1-12 @ $2.95

Despite being only –5.5 in betting markets, the odds for the Roosters to win 13+ are shorter than 1-12.

We’re happy to take the value with the Roosters 1-12, and they’re likely to win by 6-10 points. It’s usually a close game between them, with the last two games being decided by 12 and 10 points respectively.

Take the odds, which are better than expected from bookmakers.
