Tomorrow night see’s the Blue’s take on QLD at Suncorp stadium. Both Sides have a few fresh new faces and a few battle-hardened stalwarts who have taken part in this brutal match for more than a decade. State v State, Mate v Mate. What is better than State of Origin?!
Head to head
QLD – $1.97 v NSW – $1.87

First Try Scorer
Darius Boyd – $15.00
Earmarked as a future captain of Queensland this week, Boyd will be looking to impress. Showing class all season so far, with his quick hands out to his centres and wingers, all NSW defence has to do is put half a step in the wrong direction and Boyd will take his opportunity.
Matt Gillett – $21.00
QLD will be throwing everything at the NSW halves early. Any opportunity of back-to-back sets or a crack at the NSW line early and Gillett could be the man screaming onto a short ball, stepping and fending his way over the line.
Tyson Frizell – $34.00
Frizell has been on fire for the Dragons this season and will be looking to cause havoc up the middle of the field. Frizell is always dangerous near the line and is always present to chase a grubber. Unlucky not to have scored so far this season for his club side, Frizell proved last year his ability to cross the line.
Win Try Combo
Anthony Milford to score a try and QLD to win – $4.50
It is fair to say Anthony Milford has been in form this year for the Broncos scoring a total of 4 tries. In recent years, debutantes have almost been certain to score on debut for the Maroons, and I don’t see why Milford is any different. With his speed, agility and tackle breaking ability, Milford is definitely worth a look at in the Win Try Combo Market.
Blake Ferguson to score a try and NSW to win – $3.50
Ferguson has scored 6 tries this year for the Roosters and 1 for the Kangaroos this season. Quality under the highball and dangerous if given space. He will have his work cut out for him up against a quality defensive outfit. Though at $3.50 could offer some good value.
Man of the Match
Cameron Smith – $6.00
QLD’s captain courageous. Smith always leads from the front. Smith has won the Man of the Match award 6 times in his career and will be looking for his 7th in front of a home crowd. Smith is always reliable and tireless in defence and always comes up with something special when his team needs it. If QLD win Smith will be Man of the Match
Boyd Cordner – $11.00
Cordner has been named captain of the NSW side and will look to lead his side from the front. The young backrower has been impressive this year for the Roosters and has definitely stepped up as his role at captain. If NSW win I believe Boyd Cordner is a strong chance for Man of the Match.
