Storm vs. Rabbitohs Predictions – NRL Round 8 2026

The NRL continues with Round 8 action between the Storm vs. Rabbitohs on Saturday, April 25 at 8:10pm at AAMI Park.

ANZAC Day action concludes with the Storm vs. Rabbitohs, where the Storm are desperate to stop a five-game losing streak.

Best Bet

Storm –2.5 @ $1.90

Desperation has hit the Storm for the first time in years, and although confidence levels are low after five straight losses, playing the Rabbitohs could be what they need.

The Rabbitohs are 0-13 in their last 13 matches at AAMI Park, so the Storm have a dominant recent record, and they only require an attitude adjustment to start winning games. They haven’t been following up on attack as often as usual, but we expect coach Craig Bellamy to iron that out.

We’re keeping faith with the Storm, who have been a good bet for years. They’re going through a rough patch, but look for Cameron Munster, Harry Grant, and Jahrome Hughes to show why they’re elite level players.

Our NRL predictions have the Storm winning by six points, so snap up the –2.5 line.

Same Game Multi

Storm -2.5, Nick Meaney Anytime Try Scorer, Sualauvi Fa’alogo Anytime Try Scorer, Over 50.5 @ $8.75

Nick Meaney comes off a two-try performance, and with his confidence levels rising, he could score again. Punters get $1.96, which is enough to boost NRL multi bet payouts.

Punters also get value odds of $2 for Sualauvi Fa’alogo to score. The dynamic fullback has a try in four of his last five games, and the Rabbitohs defence could find him tough to stop close to the line. We priced him at $1.80, so take the value.

We predict a back-and-forth game with plenty of tries. They scored 49 points in their most recent meeting, which had only 16 first-half points. Take the over 50.5 points in NRL SGM picks.

Best Value Bet

Storm 1-12 @ $3.05

The Storm are $1.64 to win outright, so $3.05 for a 1-12 win is a generous price from bookmakers.

If the Storm wins the game, it should be by two converted tries or less. The Rabbitohs might have a poor record at AAMI Park, but they’re good enough to keep it close.

We would have been happy to take $2.60 for this option, so it’s our best value bet.
