The NRL continues with Round 14 action between the Wests Tigers vs. Panthers on Sunday, June 7 at 2:00 pm at CommBank Stadium.

The Panthers might have gotten some breaks against the Warriors, but they won without their Origin stars, so it was another tough effort from the league leaders.

They are the testing material once again, and despite the Tigers scoring a win over the struggling Bulldogs last week, we don’t see their winning form continuing against a much better team on Sunday afternoon.

We have been disappointed by the Tigers, who tend to get distracted by off-field drama, and the Panthers don’t let that happen to them. That’s why we have the Panthers scoring a comfortable win, and Nathan Cleary should guide them around the field.

Their latest meeting was a 36-2 win to the Panthers at CommBank, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see a similar score.

After starting the year on fire in the try scoring department, things have cooled off for Thomas Jenkins. He has gone scoreless in four of his last five games, but we expect the winger to get back to his best against an undersized Tigers outside defence.

Casey McLean has had no such trouble scoring tries. He comes off a double, and he played excellent in limited minutes for New South Wales. The Kiwi international is one of the young stars of the game, so include him in NRL SGM picks.

We don’t have the Tigers putting up many points. They could be kept under 12 points, so include under 49.5 points in multi bets.

Despite not scoring as many tries as the beginning of the year, Jenkins is still the top threat to score on Sunday.

He is excellent under the high ball, and he puts pressure on defenders to come up with a big play. He’s more physical than he looks, and he could score the opening try.

Punters get $7.50, which is a fair price for the Panthers winger.
