All Blacks vs. South Africa Predictions
There is no doubting that the All Blacks have the better form coming into the final.
They defeated Ireland, which was the best team in the world according to the rankings, with a gusty and classy display in the quarterfinals.
They then smashed Argentina in the semifinal, which allowed them to rest their best players in the second half. Resting players can’t be overlooked ahead of the final, especially against a tired South African unit.
The Springboks lost to Ireland earlier in the tournament, and only beating England with three minutes to go isn’t getting anyone excited.
It was a grueling battle in the rain, so they might need time to recover from that performance, which is why we’re taking the All Blacks to win.
We have been confident about their chances from the outset, and although they have had doubters at times throughout the Rugby World Cup, we have backed them all the way and they haven’t let us down.
We’re happy with the $1.73 available, and money could come for them late in the piece.
Expect the likes of Richie Mo’unga and Ardie Savea to step up. It’s going to be a physical game, and South Africa will play a rush attack, but the All Blacks have seen it before, and they usually handle it well.
Bet: New Zealand @ $1.73
New Zealand vs South Africa Exotic Tips
It’s always fun to bet on Player of the Match, and we’re picking New Zealand’s Richie Mo’unga.
He’s their primary kicker, and that could have a big importance in a game against South Africa, where penalties could be frequent.
Mo’unga is also an integral part of their offence, so if he controls the game well and has a few shining moments, expect Player of the Match selectors to favour him.
He pays $11 with bookmakers, and although we have favoured Ardie Savea throughout the tournament, Mo’unga has been more impressive.
We also love betting on the first try scorer, and it’s hard to bet against Will Jordan, who scored first in the semifinal win against Argentina.
Jordan is the game favourite at $8 over teammate Mark Telea and South Africa’s Cheslin Kolbe, and we’re not surprised. He has an uncanny ability to find the try line, and he comes off a three-try effort.
$8 is available for Jordan to score first, and he’s a $2 chance to score at any time. We’re happy to double our money with Jordan.
We don’t often bet on First to 10 points markets, but New Zealand at $1.72 is worth including in multis. The All Blacks should start better, and it’s integral that they do. Therefore, expect them to come out firing and build an early lead.
Bet: Richie Mo’unga @ $11
