Rugby World Cup Winner – New Zealand
It’s tough to look past New Zealand, especially given their form throughout the Bledisloe Cup against Australia.
The Wallabies aren’t a good measure, but the All Blacks have shown faith in their coach, and it could pay off with a World Cup win next month.
Their biggest worry will be the French, as always in the World Cup, and beating the host team is never easy. However, they play France in their opening game of the round robin, so that will give punters a good guide.
There aren’t many negatives with betting on New Zealand. They have won three World Cup titles, and they have the strike players to put points on the board.
Punters get $3.40 for the All Blacks to win. It’s not the best price, but we see them making the final, where they would likely start around $1.70, so it’s a fair price.

It would be criminal to leave out France, who always lift to another level at the World Cup.
Their form leading into the tournament has been solid, and although not as good as Ireland, which is a $5.50 chance, France has always been the better tournament team.
Ireland hasn’t really come close to winning this tournament, so we’re picking France to play New Zealand in the final.
They have a big forward pack and some experienced backs, and not to mention a huge home crowd to support them throughout the tournament.
There is market confidence at $4, so they deserve to be respected.

It won’t be easy for Mark Telea to score the most tries when New Zealand also has $7.50 favourite Will Jordan in the team, but the winger should score plenty of tries.
The Auckland-based player is better than most wingers because he comes off his wing and puts himself in the play. He’s not just a catch and score winger, like we see in the NRL. He gets stuck in the play and often breaks out from before the halfway line.
He’s on the third line of betting at $8.25 behind Jordan and France’s Damian Penaud, so he’s the value pick.
There is also value with South Africa’s Cheslin Kolbe. He has more speed to burn, and with South Africa playing the likes of Ireland, Scotland, Tonga and Romania in pool play, he could put up big try scoring numbers.

We don’t want to sound like we’re piling on Australia, but $1.35 for Australia to win Pool C is shockingly short.
They blew a big halftime lead against New Zealand’s B side recently, having been outplayed by its top team throughout the Rugby Championship.
Wale is a better play at $3.40, and although it’s not easy to follow come Rugby World Cup time either, there is better value with its odds.
Fiji, Georgia, and Portugal have no chance of winning, so it’s a two-team race. Given the odds, we’re happy to be in the Welsh camp.
