The final of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup looks set to be memorable, as Chelsea and PSG battle it out to be crowned world champions.
Whether the tournament has been a success remains heavily subjective, with soaring temperatures and indifferent attendances across America but for both Chelsea and PSG, the hefty prize pool of potentially over $100m dollars, is hugely appealing here.
For PSG, this is chance to build upon their incredible campaign, where they became European champions for the very first time in lifting the Champions League. Luis Enrique has his side purring, and this would feel like the final piece of the jigsaw for the Parisians.
Chelsea meanwhile have snuck under the radar here, with not much expected of Enzo Maresca’s side at the start of the tournament but they stand one game away from a huge scalp for the club.

As mentioned, both Chelsea and PSG will be desperate to get over the line in this one but regardless of the outcome here, it has been a successful tournament for both sides.
PSG are the reigning European champions, having dismantled Inter Milan in the final in Munich and since the start of 2025, they have picked up incredible wins over some of the biggest sides in the world. Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have all been dismantled in the last few months by PSG and they will take plenty of heart from that before they take on Chelsea.
Despite a loss to Botafogo in the group stages, PSG have been utterly dominant in the tournament, with 4-0 wins notched over Atletico Madrid, Inter Miami and Real Madrid and their attacking fluency is causing so many teams so many problems.
The Parisians will be the strong favourites ahead of this one but writing off Chelsea is never wise, with Enzo Maresca’s side starting to click into gear. Picking up the Europa Conference League title in May and qualifying for the Champions League has clearly given the blues a lift and they have taken their excellent form into this Club World Cup campaign.
Similarly to PSG, Chelsea’s only loss in the competition came against Flamengo and with the draw opening up nicely, the blues have really cashed in. Knockout round wins over Benfica, Palmeiras and Fluminense have propelled Chelsea into the final and they have an exciting young squad, who will be desperate to showcase what they can do in this one.
When it comes down to a one-off game, anything can happen, and Chelsea should feel as is they can trouble PSG. However, PSG have been imperious across every competition they have played in this season, and they should get the win that caps their incredible 2025 this term.
