The penultimate international break of 2021 continues, with sides across the world looking to secure their place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. France will be buoyant after claiming the UEFA Nations League title, at the expense of Belgium, Spain, and Italy – reaffirming their status as one of the best sides in the world, as they defend their World Cup trophy in 2022. Elsewhere, it is crunch time in many qualification groups and the stakes could not be higher.
FIFA European World Cup Qualifiers
England vs Hungary – Wembley Stadium
Euro 2020 finalists England will be looking to keep momentum going under the stewardship of Gareth Southgate, as they take on Hungary. The Three Lions have all but secured their place in the World Cup next year but with so many players on the fringes of the squad, they will be looking to put on a show here. Hungary meanwhile have proven to be tricky opponents for many over the past few seasons but were well beaten by England earlier in the group. This should be an interesting encounter at Wembley, but England should ultimately prevail.

England to win 3-0
Faroe Islands vs Scotland – Tórsvøllur
Faroe Islands ($13)
Scotland will be buoyant as they travel to the Faroe Islands, with their last gasp win over Israel still sure to be ringing in their ears. They take on a Faroes side that have vastly improved in recent years and relish their role of underdog in any game they play. Scotland though, look to be a different beast under the stewardship of Steve Clarke, with quality players littered throughout their team and with a nation expecting, they should deliver again here against the Faroe Islands.

Scotland to win 3-0
Denmark vs Austria – Parken Stadium
Denmark once again put their 100% record in qualifying on the line, as they host Austria. The Danes reached the semi-finals of Euro 2020 and have established themselves as one of the key sides to beat in European football currently. They have all but secured their place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and they will be expecting to go well in the Gulf. Austria meanwhile are a plucky outfit, but they have endured a tough qualifying campaign and sit 4 points behind Scotland in second place in the group. This should be an attritional encounter but Denmark are strong at home and should come through this one.
Betting tip: Denmark to win the match ($1.52) – Bet @ Sportsbet
Denmark to win 3-1
Bulgaria vs Northern Ireland – Vasil Levski Stadium
Northern Ireland ($3.05)
Two sides with plenty of work to do in their respective qualifying groups face off as Bulgaria host Northern Ireland. The hosts had been producing some good results, most notably drawing on the road in Italy last month but the manner of their 3-1 defeat to Lithuania last time out was a particular worry. Northern Ireland meanwhile were well beaten by Switzerland on Saturday – despite some controversial refereeing and Ian Barraclough’s side have it all to do if they are to reach the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. This could be a tight game between two well matched sides, making the draw the most likely outcome.
Betting tip: The match to finish as a draw ($3.05) – Bet @ Sportsbet
Portugal vs Luxembourg – Estádio Algarve
Portugal will be doing all they can to get their 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign back on track, as they host Luxembourg. The hosts have been in excellent form recently, beating the likes of Qatar, Azerbaijan and Ireland and they will be looking to Cristiano Ronaldo to do the business for them once again here. They take on Luxembourg who picked up a famous win over Ireland earlier in the group but will be all too aware of the magnitude of the task facing them here. Portugal should have things all their own way here and should win at a canter.
Betting tip: Portugal to win the match ($1.08) – Bet @ Sportsbet
Portugal to win 4-0
