3:00am Wigan Warriors vs Hull KR @ Old Trafford, Manchester
Last weekend’s Grand Final qualifiers both served up two very different clashes.
Wigan cruised by Leigh comfortably beating them 38 points to 0 and looked threatening in attack.
Bevan French was at his dazzling best creating tries off the cuff, while Jai Field looks to be back to full strength after dealing with some hamstring issues throughout the season.
On the other hand, Hull KR battled hard to secure their ticket to Old Trafford in a bruising match-up against the Sam Burgess coached Warrington Wolves.
They outlasted the Wire winning 10 points to 8 in somewhat controversial circumstances surrounding a Joe Burgess try.
The newly crowned Man of Steel Mikey Lewis has consistently left defensive lines in two minds all season.
His coach Willie Peters was also recently crowned coach of the year and will be sure to have a plan to challenge this star-studded Wigan lineup.
The last time these two sides met Hull KR got out to a big lead before having two players yellow carded which resulted in a Wigan comeback win 24 to 20.
They also met in the Challenge Cup Semi-Final where Wigan won convincingly 38 points to 6.
But just two weeks prior to that match-up the Rovers beat Wigan 26 to 18.
Arguably, they should have won 2 out of those 3 matches.
The Rovers will welcome back Elliott Michella who was serving suspension and Wigan should welcome back Liam Farrell who missed last weekend’s win due to an illness.
The bookies have Wigan heavily favoured and rightly so with their big game experience.
