Super League Round 17 Tips

Saturday 13/7/24

5:00am Wigan Warriors vs St Helens @ The Brick Community Stadium, Wigan

It’s not often St Helens drop two on the trot and they’ll be hungry to get one over the cherry and whites this weekend after their abysmal home loss to Castleford.

Wigan looked strong against Leigh and are rightful favourites in this match-up.

But this rivalry always dishes up a tight contest and there is value taking the Saints line and if you’re feeling cheeky – Saints head to head at $4 could be worth the punt.

Betting tip: Saints + 9.5 @ $1.92

Wigan by 6

5:00am London Broncos vs. Castleford Tigers @ Cherry Red Records Stadium, London

London shocked everyone in their one-point defeat at Headingly last weekend and are still sniffing around for their second win of the season.

Castleford were impressive defeating St Helens at home last weekend and have now played three weeks of consistent hard-nosed footy against the likes of Wigan and Hull KR.

The last time these two met Cas won by 40 – I expect this match will be a lot closer.

Betting tip: Castleford -12.5 @ $1.85

Castleford by 18

Sunday 14/7/24

12:00am Hull FC vs Hull KR @ MKM Stadium, Hull

Here is hoping the Hull Derby will be a little bit more competitive then when these two sides faced off to open the season.

The Rovers are coming off a disheartening one-point loss to Catalans while the black and whites have found some form losing by two at Salford and by six to Warrington a week before.

But I feel like Willie Peters men will be hungry to regain some momentum.

Betting tip: Hull KR -7.5 @ $1.85

Hull KR by 12

12:00am Leigh Leopards vs Huddersfield Giants @ Leigh Sports Village, Leigh

It’s been a disruptive week for Huddersfield who made the late decision this week to part ways with their coach Ian Watson following a disappointing campaign.

Leigh on the other hand have been battling off the field just as hard as they have been on the field to retain players with Hull FC continuing their raid on Adrian Lam’s men.

We might see a bit of fight from Huddersfield this weekend but I doubt we will see the same side who beat Leigh in round 1.

Betting tip: Leigh -11.5 @ $1.85

Leigh by 16

2:30AM Catalans Dragons vs Salford Red Devils @ Stade Gilbert Brutus, France

This is an intriguing matchup with both sides coming off very narrow wins over the weekend.

Catalans were impressive winning via a field goal against Hull KR and Salford were lucky to get away with a two-point win over Hull FC.

Both sit 5th and 6th on the ladder and will be desperate to close or widen the gap.

Betting tip: Salford +8.5

Catalans by 4
