Super League Round 9 Tips
—
Friday 26/4/24
5:00am St Helens vs Huddersfield Giants @ Totally Wicked Stadium, St Helens
Perhaps one of the surprises over the past few rounds is how well Huddersfield have been performing.
One could argue their schedule has been kind to them, but they still managed to beat Catalans in Perpignan and the Rhinos at Headingley.
I just don’t think St Helens will allow Huddersfield to dictate the terms of this match.
They’re coming off a 58-point thumping over Hull FC in what was a training run for the Red Vee.
Betting tip: Saints -9.5 @ $1.72

Saturday 27/4/24
5:00am Leigh Leopards vs Catalans Dragons @ Leigh Sports Village Stadium, Leigh
Leigh came very close to securing a much-needed win over Warrington last week, narrowly going down by two points.
Catalans on the other hand had an impressive win over an in-form Hull KR side, that were unfortunately without their star five-eighth Mikey Lewis.
Leigh’s skipper John Asiata has been named to make his long awaited return from injury this week after a lengthy stint on the sidelines.
I think they’re at their turning point and will have a gritty win at home to kickstart their 2024 run but will play it safe and take the 5.5 points on offer.
Betting tip: Leigh +5.5 @ $1.91

5:00am Hull KR vs Wigan Warriors @ Craven Park, Hull
Wigan are coming off a back-to-back win over Castleford proving they are the benchmark this season.
Hull KR are coming off their disappointing loss to Catalans down in Perpignan and will be looking to turn it around this week, but I just think Wigan are too strong.
Bevan French, Harry Smith and Jai Field are hard to stop playing off the back of their big pack.
Betting tip: Wigan -6.5 @ $1.91

5:00am Castleford Tigers vs London Broncos @ Mend-A-Hose Jungle, Castleford
A few weeks ago, one would probably look at this match up and think this might be London’s best chance to get a win on the board – even though they pushed Salford close last week.
I’m not taking much out of that performance and Castleford have been bolstered by acquiring the services of Tex Hoy for the remainder of the season among a few other loanees last week.
I just don’t think London have the cattle, they’re best chance for a win will come against Hull FC.
Betting tip: Castleford -13.5 @ $1.72

Sunday 28/4/24
12:00am Salford Red Devils vs Warrington Wolves @ Salford Stadium, Salford
Warrington keeps on winning with Sam at the helm and they showed good composure to hold off Leigh late in the match over the weekend.
Salford are coming off a concerning 12 to 4 victory over the bottom of the ladder London Broncos.
There’s also been a bit of off-field disruption with rumours circulating around the future of Salford Coach Paul Rowley, with Hull FC inquiring about his services.
Betting tip: Warrington -6.5 @ $1.83

Monday 29/4/24
12:00am Hull FC vs Leeds Rhinos @ MKM Stadium, Hull
Leeds are very lucky to be facing off against the rebuilding Hull FC this weekend after fumbling a victory against Huddersfield on Friday.
It’s a good opportunity for Leeds to string together a full 80 minutes of consistent football.
But they’ll do Hull FC this weekend convincingly and if they don’t, their Coach Rohan Smith could find himself on the hot seat.
Betting tip: Leeds -15.5 @ $1.80
