Super Rugby continues to thrill punters this season and there’s some mouthwatering games on show this week.
The Highlanders vs. Crusaders is the pick of the week as the leading New Zealand franchise teams look for Kiwi domination.
The Rebels will be looking to remain unbeaten against the Waratahs, which is coming off a tough loss in Argentina.
We have free tips and form for all Round 5 Super Rugby games this week.
5:35pm Chiefs vs. Bulls @ FMG Waikato Stadium
Injury problems have hit the Chiefs so far this season but they still look in good shape as they welcome the Bulls into town.
A much-needed bye was in store for the Chiefs last week, which gave them time to rest some of their injured stars. Despite those injuries, they still managed to defeat the Blues 26-10 in Round 3 and that should hold them in good stead for this.
The Bulls looked good when beating the Hurricanes in the opening round, but it has been slim picking since then. A loss to the Reds last week after leading 14-3 was disappointing and the Reds didn’t give them much to think about.
Comfortable win for the Chiefs is expected on Friday night.

5:35pm Highlanders vs. Crusaders @ Forsyth Barr Stadium
Bookmakers can’t split these two sides and you can make cases for either team winning this Saturday night.
The Highlanders played like the Harlem Globetrotters against the Stormers last week and came up trumps in an exciting 33-15 contest.
Crusaders fans would have been disappointed with their teams 19-29 loss to the Hurricanes, but they fought back resolutely after being down 21-0 early in the first half.
There were a few injury concerns for the Crusaders regarding concussion, but the bulk of the All Black-quality side should front up and make this an exciting contest.
We were impressed with the fight back from the Crusaders last week and that could just pip the Highlanders at home.

7:45pm Brumbies vs. Sharks @ GIO Stadium
The Brumbies have been nothing short of disappointing this season so far after losing to the Rebels last week.
Unable to fire any punches, the Brumbies were comfortably beaten by their Australian counterparts and we’re not sure home advantage will make much of a difference this week.
It has never been easy for the Sharks to travel down under but they’re coming off a 50-22 win over the Sunwolves and scoring that many points is going to trouble the Brumbies, which lack in try scoring prowess.
We wouldn’t usually pick a South African side winning in Australia but it’s almost impossible to confident tip the Brumbies.
Betting tip: Sharks to win @ $1.86 (BET NOW)

12:05am Stormers vs. Blues @ Newlands Stadium
The Blues pulled off an incredible upset over the Lions last week when trailing by 18 points in the second half.
An 80th minute try sealed the win for the Blues, which had been struggling to beat their fellow New Zealand conference teams but that shows how strong that conference is.
The Stormers travelled to New Zealand and were easily beaten by the Highlanders and strangely enough, the travel to South Africa is going to hurt the home side.
The Blues are well-rested and ready to take down another South African side. They’re the slight favourites in what should be a close game.

2:15am Lions vs. Sunwolves @ Ellis Park Stadium
Unfortunately, the Sunwolves are the whipping boys in the Super Rugby competition and the Japanese franchise is struggling.
Having been pounded by the Sharks last week, things aren’t about to get any easier for the Sunwolves which have to gear up for the Lions.
The Lions will be roaring to go after suffering an embarrassing loss to the Blues last week at home. Sitting with a handy lead in the second half, the Lions went to sleep and let the Blues run over the top of them.
Make no mistake that the Lions won’t let that happen again this week and a big win is in store. We’re not confident they can cover the –33.5 currently on offer, so we’ll take the –29.5 line at shorter odds instead.
Betting tip: Lions –29.5 @ $1.62 (BET NOW)

8:40am Jaguares vs. Reds @ Estadio Jose Amalfitani Stadium
Both teams are coming off Round 4 wins and the Jaguares get the benefit of playing consecutive home games.
Having looked only average to start the season, the Jaguares quickly put up a 26-0 lead over the Waratahs last week before gripping to a 10-point win.
The Reds scored an 20-14 win over the Bulls in less than convincing fashion and they’re a tough team to judge at this stage of the competition.
Razzle dazzle football is what the Jaguares are about and we think they’ll run riot at home against a Reds team that can struggle to win away from Suncorp.
Betting tip: Jaguares –7.5 @ $1.90 (BET NOW)

4:05pm Waratahs vs. Rebels @ Allianz Stadium
We can’t quite believe that the Waratahs are the favourites for this game, given the form of both teams.
With an unbeaten record after three games, the Rebels have beaten their Australian conference teams with ease and the Waratahs should be no different, but the bookmakers are making us second guess this game.
The Waratahs shouldn’t be the $1.75 favourite based on what we’ve seen so far this season, but the $2.10 for the in-form Rebels is far too good to pass up.
Take the better team at the better price and that’s a recipe for success.
