The Highlanders are the only unbeaten team remaining in the competition but that will be tested this week against the Hurricanes in an all-New Zealand showdown.
That’s only one of the six games on show this week, which also includes the Jaguares vs. Lions and the highly-anticipated Rebels vs. Sharks on Friday night.
We have our best tips for every game for Round 6 of Super Rugby.

5:35pm Crusaders vs. Bulls @ AMI Stadium
The Crusaders got off to a good start this season but losses to the Hurricanes and Highlanders have put them on the back foot in the New Zealand conference.
Key injuries haven’t helped their situation either, but they will be looking to rebound against the Bulls, which have troubles of their own.
They’re in the midst of an unsuccessful trip down under and although the head-to-head odds of $9 might attract some punters this week, we can’t see them winning on Friday night.
The 20.5 points spead line will be tough to cover for the Crusaders, especially considering the injury problems, so we’ll lean towards the Bulls showing up for at least 60 minutes.
Betting tip: Bulls +20.5 @ $1.90 (BET NOW)

7:45pm Rebels vs. Sharks @ Melbourne Stadium
We were disappointed with the Rebels last week against the Waratahs.
After leading at halftime, we expected the previously unbeaten Rebels to kick on with it, but they were soundly beaten in the second half.
Looking to bounce back against the Sharks, the Rebels will have the benefit of home ground advantage and the Sharks didn’t look overly impressive against the Brumbies last week.
Travelling to Australia has never been a happy hunting ground for the Sharks and although they have some exciting players, putting it together for 80 minutes is a struggle.
The Rebels should notch another win here.
Betting tip: Rebels –5.5 @ $1.90 (BET NOW)

3:15pm Sunwolves vs. Chiefs @ Chichibunomiya Stadium
The Sunwolves should be proud of their efforts against the Lions last week, losing 38-40 in a tight tussle.
Having been easy beats throughout most of their existence, the Sunwolves finally showed some toughness away from home and the Lions are one of the best sides in the competition.
It’s going to require a similar effort this week against the Chiefs, which scored a stunning 41-28 win over the Bulls last week in Hamilton.
The Chiefs are $1.04 with bookmakers with the home side paying $11 – one of the biggest prices ever seen for a Super Rugby game, but they accurately reflect the chances of both teams.
It’s tough to see the Sunwolves competing at such a high level again and the Chiefs should run them out of their own park.
Betting tip: Chiefs –24.5 @ $1.90 (BET NOW)

5:35pm Hurricanes vs. Highlanders @ Westpac Stadium
This is going to be a cracker of a game as the Hurricanes take on the unbeaten Highlanders in Wellington.
Coming off a bye week, the Hurricanes will be well-rested for the Highlanders which battled out a tough win over the Crusaders last week.
Prior to the bye, the Hurricanes defeated the Crusaders 29-19 but most of the damage was done in the first half and they looked only fair in the second stanza.
That’s something that will need changing against the Highlanders, which don’t stop attacking until the game is over.
80-minute efforts have been the theme in all three wins to date and most of the Highlanders players won’t worry about playing in Wellington.
Conditions are expected to be a touch wet and that could favour the home side.
Betting tip: Hurricanes to win @ $1.53 (BET NOW)

2:15am Stormers vs. Reds @ Newlands Stadium
The Stormers looked strong against the Blues at home last week and that roll could continue for the South African powerhouse.
Winning 37-20 over a top attacking team in the Blues was a quality win and they will welcome the Reds with open arms this week.
The Reds have exceeded expectations so far, with wins coming in the last two weeks over the Bulls and Jaguares but travelling to South Africa is another test.
They do have some strike players in the squad, which could score points from any point of the park, but we’re giving the edge to the Stormers which like to play a rough-and-tumble style of rugby.
Having the benefit of playing at home two weeks running is another positive for the Stormers.
Betting tip: Stormers –10.5 @ $1.90 (BET NOW)

6:40am Jaguares vs. Lions @ Estadio Jose Stadium
The Jaguares were extremely disappointing last week when losing to the Reds and scoring only seven points was a dismal effort.
This is a Jaguares team which thrives on a fast tempo, which they got, but they couldn’t do anything with the ball in hand.
A more polished performance is needed this week as they prepare for the Lions, which are also coming off a sub-par but albeit winning performance.
The Lions scrapped past the Sunwolves by two points and the positive out of the game was that the Lions scored 40 points.
Travelling to Argentina could pose some problems but they typically don’t struggle playing there.
Betting tip: Lions –9.5 @ $1.90 (BET NOW)
