We have expert betting tips for all seven Super Rugby games for Round 16 this week.
It’s an important week in Super Rugby as there’s only three weeks left of the regular season. Some teams have nothing to play for but there are many teams fighting for a playoff spot.
5:35pm Blues vs. Bulls @ Eden Park
The Blues did their best work mid-season when putting five consecutive wins together, but that form has taken a hit in recent weeks.
A 19-11 loss to the Crusaders last week came at an expense but they could rebound against the Bulls, which have never been a good travelling team.
They scored only 10 points against the Brumbies in Canberra last week and we can’t see them scoring too many more points against the Blues here.
Betting tip: Blues –8.5 @ $1.90 – Bet Now

7:45pm Rebels vs. Waratahs @ Melbourne Rectangular Stadium
That was the Rebels we know and love last week when they put up 52 points on the Sunwolves.
Granted, the opposition wasn’t strong but they got back to their try-scoring best and they can smell blood against the Waratahs, which are progressively getting worse.
Losing at home to the Jaguares isn’t a good result and there doesn’t seem to be much team effort going on.
The changing of the guard is happening in Australian rugby and the Rebels are assuming control.
Betting tip: Rebels –5.5 @ $1.90 – Bet Now

3:15pm Sunwolves vs. Brumbies @ Chichibunomiya Stadium
This looks an ideal spot for the Brumbies to notch their fourth consecutive win and their second over the Sunwolves in three weeks.
It has been a surprising season for the Brumbies so far and although they can’t really compete against the best NZ sides, they’re doing well in the Australian conference.
Facing the Sunwolves is going to give them every chance to stay at the top of the Australian Conference. They’re one point ahead of the Rebels and we’re predicting a comfortable victory.

5:35pm Chiefs vs. Crusaders @ FMG Stadium
The Crusaders haven’t quite been themselves on and off the field recently, but they have the Chiefs’ measure.
Chiefs don’t have much to play for after a dismal season with only five wins. That could come into play this week as the Crusaders are looking to preserve their spot at the top of the NZ conference.
Bookmakers have 12.5 points between these two teams and that’s a fair margin for the Crusaders to cover, so we’re leaning the Chiefs’ way.

7:45pm Reds vs. Jaguares @ Suncorp Stadium
This should be one of the most exciting games of the round as the Jaguares look to take their second consecutive Australian scalp.
The Argentinian side scored a 23-15 win over the Waratahs last week and that was one of their best franchise wins.
It bodes well for their upcoming game against the Reds, which are coming off a 19-13 defeat to the Chiefs. They were a little unlucky at times in that game but the Chiefs haven’t been the toughest of opponents this season.
Jaguares are well-backed to win and we’re liking their chances.
Betting tip: Jaguares to win @ $1.52 – Bet Now
Jaguares by 10
11:05pm Sharks vs. Hurricanes @ Kings Park Stadium
Both teams have something to play for this week and that should make this into a good game.
The Hurricanes are looking to keep within touching distance of the Crusaders in the NZ Conference and the Sharks are looking to stay on top of their South African conference.
Those chances were helped by a 27-17 win over the Lions last week and the Hurricanes are coming into this off a bye.
Prior to that they looked average in losing to the Jaguares, but that form has been franked last week.
Tough game to call but we’re going with the more exciting team.
Betting tip: Hurricanes to win @ $1.63 – Bet Now

1:15am Lions vs. Stormers @ Ellis Park Stadium
The Lions have hit a bit of a flat spot after losing to the Sharks last week and a rebound effort is expected against the Stormers.
Stormers scored a quality win over the Highlanders at home last week and deserve respect in this game, but consistency has been tough for them this season.
It’s another tough South African battle and it’s tough to make a convincing case for either team.
We could be looking at a draw to close the week.
