Seven Super Rugby games on offer for punters this week and we have expert betting tips for every Round 18 game.
Action kicks off with the Crusaders vs. Highlanders to celebrate Wyatt Crockett’s 200th game for the Crusaders and there are some good local derbies throughout the week, including Reds vs. Rebels and Stormers vs. Sharks.
5:35pm Crusaders vs. Highlanders @ Rugby League Park
The Crusaders will be looking to continue their dominance of Super Rugby with a win to celebrate the 200th game of All Black great Wyatt Crockett.
The big forward will have the stadium named in his honour for this game and given the form of the Crusaders, it’s tough to see them getting beaten this week.
They face the Highlanders, which were embarrassed last week against the Chiefs in Fiji and they will be looking to right the ship after that horrible result. They trailed 43-0 at half time and although they came back late, the result was always inevitable.
Bookmakers have the Crusaders at –8.5 and we think the home side will get the job done.
Betting tip: Crusaders –8.5 @ $1.91 (BET NOW)

7:45pm Reds vs. Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium
The Rebels had their chance to bridge the gap over the Waratahs in the Australian conference last week but a narrow 31-26 loss has set them back.
Looking to get back into contention, the Rebels will focus on the Reds this week which are coming off a loss to the Blues and that’s not a good record to have.
The Reds looked half decent earlier this season but the wheels have fallen off and they look done for the season. A talented team on paper, the Reds could test the Rebels this week but class should prevail and the Rebels should score an away win at Suncorp.

3:15pm Chiefs vs. Brumbies @ FMG Stadium
That was some performance from the Chiefs last week against the Highlanders and they’re shooting for four consecutive wins over the Brumbies.
Winning 45-22 last week in Fiji was exactly what the Chiefs needed this season and although they have lacked consistency in 2018, we’re expecting another good effort this Saturday afternoon.
Scoring back-to-back wins hasn’t happened for the Chiefs since April but the Brumbies have scored only one win against a New Zealand franchise in the last three years.
The Brumbies scored that win last week against a weakened Hurricanes side and it’s about to get much harder. Stopping the Chiefs dynamic attack, led by Damian McKenzie, has been tough for most teams and the Brumbies should struggle defensively.
Betting tip: Chiefs –14.5 @ $1.91 (BET NOW)

5:35pm Hurricanes vs. Blues @ Westpac Stadium
We didn’t think we’d be saying the Hurricanes are coming off a loss and the Blues are coming off a win, but that’s what happened in Round 17.
The Hurricanes lost 24-12 to the Brumbies without some star players but they should be back in the team as they face the Blues, which scored a rare Super Rugby win over the Reds last week.
It was some much-needed relief for the struggling side and scoring 39 points would have pleased the coaching staff. Another massive performance will be needed to beat the Hurricanes this week, which need to get back into contention in the NZ conference.
Poor form is only temporary with the Hurricanes and an 80-minute performance should be on cards this Saturday.
Betting tip: Hurricanes –12.5 @ $1.91 (BET NOW)

7:45pm Waratahs vs. Sunwolves @ Allianz Stadium
Both teams are coming off impressive Round 17 wins with the Waratahs getting past the Rebels and the Sunwolves pulling off an upset win over the Bulls.
The Sunwolves have risen from the ashes this season and although their record is still poor, getting a couple of wins on the board is a massive step in the right direction. Beating the Bulls was a great effort and they have had no problems scoring points this season.
It’s a different challenge this week against the Waratahs in Sydney and bookmakers are predicting one-way traffic after the Waratahs pulled off a gritty 31-26 win over the Rebels last week.
The current line is 16.5, which is close to where we had it framed and the Waratahs should have enough in the second half to pull away.
Betting tip: Waratahs –16.5 @ $1.91 (BET NOW)

11:05pm Bulls vs. Jaguares @ Loftus Versfeld
This should be one of the closer games of the week as the Bulls look to rebound after losing to the Sunwolves on the road last week.
They come up against the surging Jaguares, which have looked impressive in beating the Sharks and Stormers entering this game. They have played exciting rugby and despite the failings of the national team, the Argentinian franchise is firing on all cylinders.
The Jaguares sit second on the South African conference ladder, only three points behind the Lions and given that the Lions don’t play this week, they could find themselves at the top entering Round 19.
Facing the Bulls at home is never easy but we’re predicting a minor upset here.
Betting tip: Jaguares to win @ $2 (BET NOW)
Jaguares by 3
1:15am Stormers vs. Sharks @ Newlands Stadium
Bookmakers are finding it hard to separate the Stormers and Sharks, with the Stormers holding slight favouritism at $1.80.
They are coming off an away loss to the Jaguares in Argentina last week and they haven’t won since Round 12 against the Bulls. That’s not great form coming into this and the Sharks have been better in recent times.
The Lions scored a 31-24 win over the Lions last week and that’s good form against the conference leaders. Expect another quality effort from the Sharks and they’re at good value.
Betting tip: Sharks to win @ $2 (BET NOW)
