Super Rugby Round 8 kicks off with an exciting Hurricanes vs. Highlanders matchup, which promises plenty to start the week.
There are seven Super Rugby games to bet on this week and we have free expert tips, form and odds for every game.
5:35pm Highlanders vs. Hurricanes @ Forsyth Barr Stadium
The Hurricanes were thumped by the Crusaders last week and they will need to start showing more consistency to be considered as a title contender.
Apart from the Crusaders running clear, the New Zealand conference is up for grabs and with a bye week under their belt, the Highlanders pose a threat this week.
They are also coming off a loss in Round 6, which was against a much-improved Blues team. They controlled much of that game but were pipped late in the game.
Tough call here but we’re giving the edge to the Highlanders.

7:00pm Reds vs. Stormers @ Suncorp Stadium
Both teams are coming off disappointing losses last week and this could all depend on which team has the best attitude.
Reds were well-beaten by the Rebels 32-12 and the Stormers couldn’t find anything in the second half against the Blues, losing 24-9.
Out of the two games, we were more impressed with the Stormers, which were right in the contest until late in the game. They played the Blues tough in the early stages and they look the stronger team on paper.
Reds have exciting players but are not yet gelling as a unit.

4:10am Lions vs. Sharks @ Ellis Park Stadium
The Sharks are coming off a tough loss to the Bulls 16-19 at home and the Lions enjoyed putting their feet up last week.
That bodes well for the well-rested Lions, which were gutsy 37-24 winners over the Sunwolves in Japan the last time they played.
Last year’s finalists, the Lions haven’t been at their best this season but they have shown glimpses of good form throughout and they might be making a well-timed run for the playoffs.
We’re not sure what to make of the Sharks, but they should provide the Lions with a stiff test this week.

3:15pm Crusaders vs. Brumbies @ Rugby League Park
The Crusaders are expected to run away with the 2019 Super Rugby title and looking at the odds against the Brumbies this week, it’s hard to ignore that fact.
Brumbies, despite starting the season in solid form, are massive $9 underdogs for this game in Christchurch and bookmakers are giving them a 21.5-point head start.
The positive for the Brumbies is that they’re coming off a bye but this game could get ugly by the halftime mark if they’re not careful.
Tough to lay 21.5 points but the Crusaders are almost faultless when full strength.

5:35pm Blues vs. Waratahs @ Eden Park
The Blues have suddenly found some form and are searching for their fourth consecutive win.
A struggling franchise for a long time, the Blues are now showing what they can do by posting wins over Stormers, Highlanders and Sunwolves.
Granted, they have beaten the top teams in the competition, but all this team needs is confidence and they can beat any team on any given day.
Waratahs do pose a threat but they’re coming off their worse franchise loss in history. Losing to the Sunwolves at home is not a good look, especially when you lead early in the game. Horrible mistake and poor defense led to the loss.
Blues could continue their winning roll.

7:45pm Rebels vs Sunwolves @ AAMI Park
The Rebels returned home to smash the Reds 32-13 last week and those performances could see the Rebels go all the way to the final this season.
They’re definitely an improved team with Quade Cooper in the squad and although he’s easy to dislike, he’s a talented player when he’s focused.
Sunwolves were gallant winners over the Waratahs last week and there’s no doubting that they’re the most improved team this season. Are they good enough to beat the Rebels? Probably not at this stage, but we love their passion.

12:05pm Bulls vs. Jaguares @ Loftus Versfeld Stadium
Two exciting teams end the week here as the Bulls, coming off a 19-16 win over the Sharks, face the Jaguares.
The Argentinian-based franchise is coming off a heartbreaking 27-30 loss to the Chiefs last weekend and travelling to South Africa will only make them feel worse.
Neither team has shown much consistency this season, which could make predicting the result of this game tough, but the Bulls are tough to beat at home and they should get the job done.
