WTA Cincinnati Tips & Predictions
—
WTA Cincinnati Best Bet – Iga Swiatek
Swiatek is the best player in the world, and although hard courts aren’t always her best surface, she’s still the player to beat.
The 23-year-old won the 2022 US Open, which proved she can win on hard courts, to go along with her four French Open titles.
Her last major tournament was a win at Roland Garros, and she also won the bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
It was disappointing seeing her lose to China’s Zheng in the semifinals, but Zheng would win the gold medal, so the form was franked.
We’re not surprised by the $3.60 available for Swiatek to win the WTA Cincinnati title, and she is clearly the player to beat.
Bet: Iga Swiatek @ $3.60
WTA Cincinnati Best Value – Coco Gauff
Nothing went right for Coco Gauff at the Olympics, which resulted in her complaining about the umpire’s decision.
It’s not what you want to see, especially from a top-tier player, but she could get back to her best form in Canada.
Playing in North America has always suited the American, who won the 2023 US Open, and she’s preparing for that tournament next month.
The 20-year-old still has plenty to learn on the WTA Tour, but she’s a great player, and the odds are too good to pass up.
Getting $6.50 for Gauff is too good to overlook, and she’s the biggest danger to Swiatek.
Bet: Coco Gauff @ $6.50
WTA Cincinnati Next Best – Qinwen Zheng
Punters have been patiently waiting for Zheng to show her best form, and it finally came out at the Olympics.
It was a career-defining win for the top 10 player, who was ousted by an unknown New Zealand player at Wimbledon earlier this year.
The confidence should see her form on the WTA Tour improve, and she hasn’t been missed in tennis betting markets.
She has firmed into $15.00 to score an overdue tour win, and we’re happy to back the gold medalist at the price.
Bet: Qinwen Zheng @ $15.00
WTA Cincinnati Best Roughie – Mirra Andreeva
Betting markets have fallen foul of Mirra Andreeva, who is a $67.00 chance to win in Cincinnati.
The Russian 17-year-old was all the rage earlier this year, and she was well-backed to win at the grand slam level. However, a few months later, and she’s unwanted.
She might be unseeded in the tournament, but she won the IASI Open last month, and she’s still improving.
Making the semifinals at the 2024 French Open and fourth round at the Australian Open showcases her skills, and given the odds available, we’re backing her.
If she gets past Emma Navarro in the opening round, her path to the final becomes much easier, so that’s a crucial match.
Bet: Mirra Andreeva @ $67.00
