We have Wimbledon picks and predictions for Tuesday, July 7th, which features some of the world’s best tennis players in action, including Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic.
Our tennis picks include three of the best games of the day, including Sinner vs. Struff, Auger-Aliassime, and Osaka vs. Muchova.
Jannik Sinner vs. Jan-Lennard Struff Best Bet
Jannik Sinner has played well for the most part in London, except his opening round match that went to a fifth set. He hasn’t dropped a set since, but he got fatigued around this point at the French Open, which is a concern.
Jan-Lennard Struff is having a good tournament, which should do his confidence a world of good. He defeated Daniil Medvedev in straight sets after winning his first two games in five sets. He’s playing tough, and he’s prepared for the world number one.
Sinner’s record at this stage of a grand slam is exceptional, but Struff lost 2-1 in their most recent encounter on grass, and he could keep it close with a +7.5 game start. That’s a significant line, and we’re taking it.
Felix Auger-Aliassime vs. Novak Djokovic Best Bet
Felix Auger-Aliassime has turned his career around over the last few months, and it’s good to see. He now gets a good chance to progress to the semi-finals against Novak Djokovic, who isn’t the player he used to be.
Take nothing away from Djokovic, who is still playing at an elite level, but if Auger-Aliassime is to ever beat the Serbian, it’s at Wimbledon in 2026.
The Canadian got through a tough match against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in five sets. That could be seen as a negative, but having a hard match before facing someone like Djokovic is good. This game will be a battle, and he’s playing well enough to prevail.
There is trepidation in betting markets for Djokovic, who is only a $1.53 favourite despite being the best player of all time. We’re taking the odds for Auger-Aliassime to score an upset, and he could finally make his mark on the grand slam stage after promising so much.
Naomi Osaka vs. Karolina Muchova Best Bet
Naomi Osaka hasn’t been a good bet for a few years, but she is knuckling down and playing good tennis at Wimbledon.
She comes off a big upset over Aryna Sabalenka, and she has yet to drop a set throughout the tournament. That’s a scary thought for a player of her ilk, and it should put fear into the mind of Karolina Muchova.
Muchova won 2-1 in her previous game, and she will be buoyed by her recent meeting against Osaka at Bad Homburg, where things went badly for Osaka. She lost the first 6-1 before retiring 1-0 in the second set, but she has turned things around from last month.
Getting $1.77 for a multiple grand slam winner is a good price, and she could end the run of women tennis players returning from having children being unable to win a grand slam. The great Serena Williams couldn’t achieve it, but Osaka could buck the trend at Wimbledon.
Take the odds before late money comes for her.
