When does the National Basketball League (NBL) season start?
Australia’s premier basketball competition has grown in national and international notoriety over the past few years. The NBL (National Basketball League) is now played in front of packed crowds up and down the land, with the quality of the league improving year upon year.
Traditionally, the NBL season gets underway at the very start of October and runs through to the end of March.
As of the 2020/21 NBL season, there are 9 teams competing in the top division, with 4 sides progressing to the semi-finals.
Each semi-final is a best of three match contest with the NBL Grand Final being played out over 5 matches, to decide the overall NBL winner.
