Geelong vs. Adelaide Predictions
—
Best Bet
The opening line had Adelaide at +10.5, and although the betting drift is concerning, we’re holding firm with the Crows.
They looked good in the opening round with a win over Collingwood before losing 94-88 to the Western Bulldogs, and they shouldn’t have lost any admirers with that performance. We rate the Bulldogs in 2026, and they fought courageously throughout the game.
Geelong scored a 110-100 win over Fremantle before enjoying a bye last week. It was a much better effort than their dour opening round loss to Gold Coast, but we don’t think the Cats are good enough right now to cover a –17.5 spread against a decent team in Adelaide.
Take the +17.5 line before money comes for Adelaide closer to game time.

Same Game Multi
Riley Thilthorpe is always a good AFL multi pick. He’s one of the more reliable goal scorers, and with 13 goals from his last five games, including two last week against the Bulldogs, there is no reason to jump off him. The $1.67 odds are a good multi bet boost.
They’re not quite as good as the $2.50 for Tex Walker to kick two goals, as he did last week. He’s not always the most consistent scorer for the Crows, but when his confidence levels are high, he can produce the goods.
Our final score prediction has Adelaide winning 100-90, so over 176.5 points could cash easily for punters.

Best Value Bet
We have backed Geelong in their first two games, but we can’t turn down $3 for Adelaide after what they have produced so far.
There is enough offensive production from the Crows to stick with the physical midfield of the Cats, and teams coming off a grand final appearance can take a few weeks to show their best, including last year’s champions Brisbane.
We see value in picking Adelaide to win outright, and a fast start could be enough to get them home.
