GWS vs. Port Adelaide Predictions

Best Bet

GWS –21.5 @ $1.90

This is an ideal chance for GWS to score its third consecutive win after beating Carlton and Richmond. They were solid wins, and although getting past Richmond by only three points in an 80-77 game isn’t ideal, they got the points.

A better form guide is the 110-82 win over Carlton, and they also handed the Geelong Cats a loss four weeks ago. There is a high ceiling with GWS, and not so much with Port Adelaide, which has slipped down to 15th on the AFL ladder.

After scoring 51 points last week and 31 points against Geelong, backing Port Adelaide is like giving away money recently. Therefore, GWS should cover the –21.5 spread comfortably.

Same Game Multi

GWS –21.5, Aaron Cadman 2+ Goals, Callum Brown 2+ Goals, Total Match Points Under 162.5 @ $15.50

Aaron Cadman and Callum Brown are our two best goal-scoring picks for GWS vs. Port Adelaide. Cadman scored doubles in his last two games, and punters get $2.02 for the Giant to score 2+ goals on Saturday night.

Brown has come alive over the last three weeks with eight goals. He is making the most of his opportunities, and opportunities should be aplenty against a poor Power team. Punters get $2.30 to boost AFL same game multis, so include Brown in your bets.

Because Port Adelaide has scored just 90 points from its last two games, we’re including under 162.5. There are plenty of points with GWS, who scored 110 against Carlton. However, these teams combined for 124 points in 2024, and it could be another low-scoring contest.

Port could score around 60 points, which should be enough for GWS to cover the spread and cash the under.

Best Value Bet

GWS Wire-to-Wire @ $1.95

Seeing $1.95 odds might not seem like value, but punters should feel confident with GWS leading after every quarter.

We can’t see Port Adelaide getting out of the blocks fast, and although this is a game where they need to perform, the team morale is low, and that should allow GWS to run all over them.

We’re snapping up the $1.95 available with AFL odds, in what should be an effortless victory.
