North Melbourne vs. Carlton Predictions
—
Best Bet
With two wins from three games, North Melbourne is well on its way to producing its best season in years. However, that hasn’t had much of an impact with AFL betting markets, which have the Kangaroos at $2.39 to win.
We rate North Melbourne ahead of Carlton, so we’re surprised by the odds. Carlton comes off a 100-79 loss to Melbourne, and it wasn’t a good performance. They scored a win against Richmond, but beating Richmond isn’t far.
Meanwhile, North Melbourne owns wins against Port Adelaide and Essendon. It hasn’t been a hard schedule, but there is enough upside with this team to cover a +8.5 spread against a struggling Blues outfit.
Take the points, and the head-to-head odds are generous enough to take as well.

Same Game Multi
Paul Curtis and Cameron Zurhaar had only one goal each last week, but they should rebound with a better scoring performance against Carlton.
Curtis kicked a double in a loss against West Coast, and he didn’t get many opportunities in the second half, so he could have built on that performance. We have him scoring at least two goals against a Carlton defence that has allowed 100+ points twice already.
The same goes for Zurhaar. He started the year with back-to-back doubles, and he could get back to his best form on Friday. Punters get $2.12 for Zurhaar to kick 2+ goals, so include him for value.
They combined for 157 points in their 2025 meeting, but the Kangaroos scored no points in the fourth quarter and Carlton scored only one point in the second quarter. It was an odd game, but punters should expect more points this time around.

Best Value Bet
Stranger things have happened on the footy field than North Melbourne winning by 40+ points against a team like Carlton, so we’re taking the odds.
Punters get massive odds for the Kangaroos to run up a big number on the Blues, and it’s entirely possible. They won by 11 points last year after losing the final quarter 35-0, so they had a 46-point lead entering the fourth quarter.
They are better in 2026, so the Kangaroos could produce their best to win by at least 40 points.
