St Kilda vs. Melbourne Predictions
—
Best Bet
St Kilda got the better of Melbourne earlier this year, but the Demons seek revenge on the road this Sunday.
They might have lost four of their last five games, but St Kilda has lost five on the bounce, so Melbourne has better form. It defeated North Melbourne 119-83 before losing a close game to Carlton last week, which is a solid enough form guide.
The Saints were no match for Geelong last week, and although they played well when losing to Hawthorn, the lack of wins isn’t good for their psyche. That’s why we’re backing Melbourne to come out ahead.

Same Game Multi
The total points line is higher than expected, so include under 170.5 points. They scored 154 points when meeting in June, so we thought the line would have been around that number.
Points could come from Kysaiah Pickett and Bayley Fritsch, who have been in a scoring mood for Melbourne. Pickett scored five goals against Carlton last week, which was a good effort considering the team scored only 70 points.
Fritsch scored two goals last week and three goals against North Melbourne, so he’s another Demon’s player with good form. Punters get $1.97 for him to score 2+ goals, which is an excellent price from bookmakers.

Best Value Bet
Melbourne could take an early lead and put St Kilda to the sword, so we’re including Melbourne wire-to-wire in our AFL picks this week.
Punters get a value $2.80 price with AFL odds, and although the hardest part of cashing this bet is the first quarter, Melbourne has more scoring threats and it should start faster.
