Western Bulldogs vs. Hawthorn Predictions

Best Bet
We have backed Hawthorn religiously this season, but after losing to Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Collingwood, we’re jumping off their backs against the Bulldogs.
Despite losing two of their last three games, the Bulldogs have shown slightly more ability in 2025. They lost to Gold Coast and Geelong narrowly, so they weren’t far off winning those games. They scored a 127-36 win over Essendon in between, which showcased their talent.
Sitting outside the top eight, the Western Bulldogs need to win, and they’re good enough to capitalise on a struggling Hawthorn, so include the –11.5 line in your AFL Round 13 picks.

Same Game Multi
Punters have cashed in with Rhylee West and Jack Ginnivan recently. West might have had only one goal last week, but he had totals of 3, 2, 2, and 4 goals in his four games prior. He’s good enough to bounce back, and he should get good chances to score.
Ginnivan showed promise against his old team last week, scoring two early goals against Collingwood. His chances dried up in the second half, but it was good to see him energised. We expect him to play well against the Bulldogs, and his $2.20 odds gives our AFL same game multi bet a massive odds boost.
Under 171.5 is the logical points total bet. They scored 143 points in the first meeting this year, which followed 161 points in their 2024 meeting. Punters are right to expect a similar scoreline on Thursday night, in what should be a tense battle.

Boasting seven goals from his last four games is Ed Richards, who is going under the radar with bookmakers.
He scored a double in three of his last four games, including in his last game against the Cats. He has had a week off to recover from that physical game, so he should be ready to kick a couple of goals against a Hawthorn defence that has struggled recently.
