Ascot Racing Tips for Saturday, April 4th 2026

We have expert betting tips for racing at Ascot on Saturday, which includes 10 races on the premier card.

Punters get good value odds for the Western Australian meeting, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Ascot horse racing tips

Race 1. (14:49) MC Polytrack Handicap (1400m)

#2 – Peaceful Ruler

Peaceful Ruler owns three wins and a placing from four starts, including back-to-back wins at Pinjarra and Ascot.

The three-year-old son of Universal Ruler won by a nose last time out as a $2.80 chance, and the winning margin could be bigger here.

Getting the inside draw is enough to take it close.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 2. (15:24) Wittens Irrigation & Design BM72 (1400m)

#9 – Rock ‘N’ the Jam

Boasting two wins from four starts is Rock ‘N’ the Jam, who scored at Ascot in consecutive runs last preparation.

The four-year-old son of Awesome Rock wasn’t too far away when fourth last time out, and there is plenty of improvement to come.

It could pay to watch for late betting moves.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 3. (16:01) Dave Mullen Wines Italian Wine Merchant BM66 (1600m)

#3 – Decoration

Decoration hasn’t been in winning form recently, but the five-year-old is good enough to find his winning groove.

The son of Epaulette has yet to win from seven attempts at Ascot, but he has been close with two placings, so we’re happy to stick with him.

2kg comes off his back to help with the weight.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (16:41) Tabtouch Westspeed Platinum (1600m)

#3 – Rommel’s Goddess

Rommel’s Goddess has been all around the mark this season, including two wins and three second placings.

The five-year-old mare by Rommel runs some of her best races at Ascot, including a win and five placings, so the form stacks up well.

She should run at each-way odds, so take the value.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 5. (17:21) David Della Rocca 1MW (2200m)

#5 – Fey King

Fey King was too good for them late at Belmont Park, and that form should hold up well at Ascot.

The five-year-old son of King’s Troop wasn’t too far away when fourth at Ascot two back, and natural improvement takes him close.

It’s an open field, and he should give punters a good sight.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (17:59) Roberto’s on Bennett 1MW (1400m)

#7 – Queen Aria

Adam Durrant lines up Queen Aria, who won at Pinjarra earlier this preparation before adding placings at Ascot and Pinjarra.

The four-year-old mare by Pariah owns two wins and five placings from 12 starts, which is a tidy enough record for this race.

55.5kg on her back is enough to take her close.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 7. (18:35) Perth Stakes (1100m)

#1 – Beatty @ $2.30

Beatty showed excellent speed when winning twice last preparation, and we fancy him to keep his unbeaten run alive.

The two-year-old colt by Gingerbread Man could be the next star of the west, and we’re happy to bet on him until he shows otherwise.

Take the $2.30 odds before it firms on race day.

Stake: 3 Units

Race 8. (19:10) Swan Draught Gimcrack Stakes (1100m)

#2 – Aurum Belle @ $1.75

Another unbeaten runner is Aurum Belle, who is a good multi bet addition with Beatty in the previous race.

The two-year-old filly by Snitzel is bred to be quick, and after winning by two lengths as a $1.35 chance last start, the $1.65 odds are generous.

She is a smart type, and it’s only the wide draw working against her.

Stake: 3 Units

Race 9. (19:45) PKF Roma Cup (1100m)

#6 – Smooth Chino @ $3.10

There are some proven types in this race, including Oscar’s Fortune, but we’re joining the hype around Smooth Chino.

The four-year-old gelding is unbeaten from six starts, and he put away a tidy field with ease last time out in December.

That form bodes well, and he’s another unbeaten runner worth backing.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 10. (20:21) Barbaro Butchers BM66 (1000m)

#3 – Thermosphere Lad

Punters could get each-way odds for Thermosphere Lad, who ended last preparation with some consistent form.

The six-year-old son of Exosphere owns two wins and five placings at Ascot, so he loves running at this track.

We’re happy to include him in our horse racing picks.

Stake: 1 Unit
