Race 1. (14:05) Become a Member Today Maiden (1200m)
#1 – Cosmic Treasure @ $2.25
Cosmic Treasure looked good when running fourth on debut at Hawkesbury, and improvement is expected.
The three-year-old filly by Deep Field should find this level of racing more to her liking, hence the shortening odds.
She’s in good hands and jumping from barrier two helps her cause.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 2. (14:40) Find Us on 123Tix Maiden (1400m)
#5 – Don’tcallmekathy @ $7.00
Don’tcallmekathy showed good improvement after running fourth at Scone, so she’s heading in the right direction.
The three-year-old filly by D’argento should appreciate the rise in distance and there are no superstars to beat in this maiden field.
Punters should snap up the value each-way odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 3. (15:15) Wear Your Footy Jumper Maiden (1100m)
#3 – Ischyros @ $2.00
Ischyros has been teasing punters with a win after posting six placings from seven starts, but this could be his time to shine.
The three-year-old finished second at Goulburn last time out and he owns two second placings from two starts over the distance.
It’s only a matter of time before he breaks through.
Stake: 4.5 Units
Race 4. (15:50) Soldiers Saddle BM58 (1100m)
#4 – So Magnificent @ $3.20
The three-year-old colt broke maidens with a tough win at Canberra last start and we’re happy to stick with him.
He is a son of So You Think, so he’ll only improve with time and longer distances, and he has been prepped with a trial win at Canberra.
Take the odds before more money comes for him.
Stake: 3 Units
Race 5. (16:30) Bathurst RSL Club C1 (1800m)
#8 – Stock Road @ $3.30
Stock Road showed nothing on debut at Newcastle before quickly improving to run third at Goulburn.
The Gregory Hickman-trained gelding continues to rise in distance and Hickman is good at training stayers to win.
We expect him to keep improving at this level.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 6. (17:10) Sponsor a Race BM66 (1300m)
#7 – Needing Attention @ $2.45
Needing Attention was good enough to win three consecutive races last preparation, so something similar to that form is good enough.
The three-year-old filly by Zousain was only 3.3 lengths behind Island Dec at Canterbury last start before spelling, and this is a drop in class.
Getting 2kg off his back could be enough to win.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 7. (17:50) Sponsor Fashions on the Field C1 (1400m)
#6 – Rainagain @ $9.00
Looking to improve on his fresh up effort is Rainagain, who placed at his only start at Bathurst.
The five-year-old son of Charge Forward looked good when winning at Orange last preparation, which came at maiden level by five lengths.
Something close to that is good enough to win.
Stake: 1.5 Units
