Belmont racing tips

Race 1. (14:04) Lawn Pride Australia (1200m)

#1 – Castle Road

Form is on the board for Castle Road, and although he can run a bad race, he owns four wins from seven starts overall.

The three-year-old son of Safeguard was too good for them at Pinjarra last time out, scoring by just under a length as a $1.55 chance.

Punters should expect longer odds, so put him on top.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 2. (14:42) Tabtouch Westspeed Platinum (1000m)

#4 – Ginger Morpheus

Boasting two wins and four placings from five starts is Ginger Morpheus, who scored a good win at Belmont last time out.

The four-year-old son of Universal Ruler paid $2.20 when winning, and something similar to that effort should be good enough.

Chris Parnham rides, which adds to our confidence.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 3. (15:19) Jack Marks WA Hall of Fame BM66 (1000m)

#3 – Under Influence

Looking to score an overdue win is Under Influence, who ran second at Pinjarra last time out behind Madhi Girl.

The six-year-old gelding is a five-time winner overall, and they don’t often take long to get back to winning form from the Pearce stable.

Punters could get each-way odds from bookies on race day.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (15:58) Beau Sovereign Hall of Fame 1MW (1200m)

#2 – Yorga Pride

Boasting four wins from five starts is Yorga Pride, who scored by a length at Belmont last time out.

The four-year-old mare by Pride of Dubai is unbeaten in two starts at Belmont, so she’s a track specialist with plenty of upside.

3kg comes off her back to help with the big weight.

Stake: 3 Units

Race 5. (16:34) Reg Treffone Hall of Fame 1MW (1650m)

#6 – More than Enuff

More than Enuff brings in solid enough form to this race, having posted a third placing at Pinjarra three starts back.

The five-year-old son of Rich Enuff is a four-time winner overall, so he has enough ability to put this field away when he’s running well.

It’s an even field, so include him in picks.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (17:10) Damian Lane Hall of Fame BM66 (1400m)

#11 – Twilight Tale

Twilight Tale comes off a good campaign, including two wins and two placings against some strong fields.

The four-year-old mare by Savabeel ran second behind Machine Gun Gracie, and she only needs to handle the shorter distance to go close.

Look for a betting push on race day.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 7. (17:50) Idyllic Prince Stakes (1300m)

#10 – Wind and the Lion @ $4.00

Each-way odds are available for Wind and the Lion, who owns three wins from 10 starts, including last time out at Bunbury.

The four-year-old son of Written By won his only start at Belmont, so having winning form on the track only adds to his appeal.

Take the current odds before money comes for him.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (18:20) Vernon Brockman BM72 (1200m)

#8 – Want a Winner

Want a Winner knows how to win races after posting four wins from five starts, which is an excellent record.

The four-year-old son of Yes Yes Yes won by a length at Belmont last time out, and that’s a good form guide for this level of racing.

Parnham rides, so include him in your picks.

Stake: 2 Units
