Caulfield Racing Tips for Saturday, July 12th 2025

We have expert betting tips for racing at Caulfield on Saturday, which includes nine races at the premier meeting.

Punters get good value odds for the Victorian meeting, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Caulfield racing tips

Race 1. (12:05) Get on Now Handicap (1100m)

#2 – Signature Scent @ $2.15

Signature Scent won easily on debut at Bendigo by 4.3 lengths, which is an excellent form guide for this level of racing.

The Ciaron Maher-trained two-year-old by Written Tycoon is bred to be better than average, and we fancy her chances of beating this field.

Take the $2.15 before money comes for her.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 2. (12:35) Race Previews Handicap (1100m)

#1 – Salsa Fellow @ $7.00

Salsa Fellow didn’t fire at Flemington last time out, but that followed consecutive wins at Sandown and Flemington, which is good form.

The three-year-old son of Blue Point can bounce back with 60kg on his back, and getting Blake Shinn in the saddle is a bonus.

Take the value odds from bookmakers.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (13:10) Sportsbet Feed Handicap (1400m)

#2 – Supercilious @ $4.20

Looking to cap off consistent form with a win is Supercilious, who ran fifth and third at Flemington in two starts this preparation.

That’s solid enough form for this race, and the three-year-old filly by Written Tycoon is bred to be better than average.

She’s good enough to turn around her poor record at Caulfield.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (13:45) Vobis Gold Heath (2000m)

#2 – Jimmy the Bear @ $1.55

Jimmy the Bear has gone to a new level this preparation with three wins and two second placings from five starts.

The 11-time winner dug deep to beat a handy field last time out, and that’s why he’s an odds-on favourite to win on Saturday.

The odds are skinny, but he’s worth including in multis.

Stake: 3 Units

Race 5. (14:20) Same Race Multi Handicap (2000m)

#2 – Stop the Rock @ $5.00

Punters got value odds for Stop the Rock last time out at Flemington, and although we’re not getting $19 this time, we’re happy to stick with him.

The three-year-old son of El Roca could have a bright future after winning three of his four starts, and he has time to find cover from out wide.

Take the $5 as a solid each-way bet.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (15:00) More Places BM78 (1400m)

#8 – Kahhof @ $8.50

Punters get value odds for Kahhof, who won well at Sandown two back before placing last time out at Flemington.

There is nothing wrong with that form for a race like this, and it’s an open contest, so the $8.50 odds are generous.

Barrier five is another positive, so include him in picks.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (15:40) Race Replays BM100 (1400m)

#10 – Zou Sensation @ $4.20

We like the way Zou Sensation found the line when scoring at Caulfield last time out, which is an ideal form guide for this race.

The five-year-old son of Zoustar gets in with a light weight of 54.5kg, and that should make him tough to beat against this field.

His confidence levels are up, so include him in picks.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 8. (16:15) Sir John Monash Stakes (1100m)

#6 – In Flight @ $2.80

Sydney form typically stacks up well in Melbourne, and In Flight comes off consecutive victories.

The Joe Pride-trained runner won at Doomben two back before winning at Randwick last start, and she has since won a trial.

Craig Williams seeks a jockey’s premiership, and he could pick up a big win.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 9. (16:48) Get on Blackbook BM84 (1700m)

#16 – Until Valhalla @ $9.50

Until Valhalla will need some luck from a wide barrier, but she comes off an overdue win at Sandown in fine style.

The four-year-old daughter of Snitzel could head forward from the draw and hold them off as she did last start.

Those tactics typically work at Caulfield, so take the value odds.

Stake: 1 Unit
