Legacy Bay is a good chance to win fresh up after showing plenty of ability last season, including a win at Sandown.
The Moody/Coleman-trained mare owns two wins and five placings, and her second placing at Flemington last start is a good form guide.
She’s capable of handling this level of racing and carrying 55.5kg helps.

We like the way Hot Too Go fought on bravely to hold off Amleto at Moonee Valley, and the penny might have dropped now.
The four-year-old son of Too Darn Hot has always had plenty of ability, and that win could see his confidence levels improve.
It’s not an easy field, but he is drawn well, which could make a big difference.
Stake: 1 Unit
It looked as though Hiyaam Proud needed the fresh up run when finishing sixth at Bendigo, and we’re happy to give him another chance.
The five-year-old son of Pride of Dubai is a three-time winner, and he has yet to finish worse than second in two starts at Caulfield.
Coming back to this track could see his winning form return.
Stake: 1 Unit
Hedged wasn’t too far away when running sixth behind Caballus at Flemington, and that form should hold up well at Caulfield.
The son of Capitalist is a two-time winner over the distance, so dropping to 1200m to 1100m should be right up his alley.
It’s not an easy field, but he could score an overdue win.
Stake: 1.5 Units
We didn’t think Blindedbythelight would back up after running in wet conditions last Saturday, but the run was better than it looked.
She was gone on the turn, but she battled back to finish fifth behind Sunset Park, and she never copped the conditions.
Her form prior was excellent, so if she’s ready to go, she should be tough to beat.
Stake: 1 Unit
Merrigold was scratched on Derby Day, and she has found a winnable race at Caulfield on Saturday.
The John Sadler-trained five-year-old is a seven-time winner, so she has ability, and her consistency makes her a good bet.
Carrying 55kg helps, so punters should expect another tidy effort.
Stake: 1 Unit
Winning form is with Sheza Abili, who won at Flemington last start when beating Teine Aulelei on Derby Day.
That’s a good form guide for this race, and the three-year-old filly could be a nice type for the future out of the Moody/Coleman stable.
Getting the inside draw with a light weight adds to our confidence.

We prefer backing My Gladiola down the Flemington straight, but her run for second behind Tentyris last start is too classy to ignore.
She was only 2.3 lengths behind who could be one of the best sprinters in Australia, so the form must be considered at Caulfield.
She has an inside draw, so look for her to get off the fence and come with a big late run.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Spione had the flashing light on at Geelong last start when settling back and flying home, and that was his first run in five months.
It was a good return to form for the five-year-old, who owns three wins from six starts, so the ability is there.
55.5kg makes him a winning threat in the last.
Stake: 1 Unit
