Different Gravy was different gravy to the field he faced at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day, and he could prove too good for them again.
The three-year-old won by two lengths in a stakes race and rising from 1800m to 2000m should only help his chances of winning.

Gunning for back-to-back wins is Lyrics ‘N’ Song, who is out of champion Kiwi mare Melody Belle.
The royally bred filly was a touch unlucky not to win on debut at The Valley, but she won well at Cranbourne by 2.3 lengths over Hi Val.
It’s a good form guide, and she could rise to stakes level without much fuss.

It was a big run from Detonator Jack to finish second at Flemington, and it was good seeing him show his turn-of-foot.
It has been a long time between drinks, but the winner of $1.6 million has class on his side and that can’t be forgotten.

She didn’t handle the heavy track conditions, so to run second behind Sunset Park is credit to her toughness and attitude.

He is a four-time winner over the distance, and his Sydney form is superior to most runners in this race, as he showed last time out.
