Coffs Harbour racing tips

Race 1. (13:35) Book Your Room Maiden (1010m)

#1 – Impending Fortune

Impending Fortune didn’t fire at Coffs Harbour last time out, but that followed two impressive second placings.

The Colt Prosser-trained gelding has been primed with a soft trial effort, and there are no superstars in this field.

We expect him to be fighting out the finish on Sunday.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (14:10) Time Quest C3 (1412m)

#1 – Satono Invader

Kris Lees lines up Satono Invader, who hasn’t done much wrong in posting two wins and two placings from four starts.

The three-year-old filly by Satono Aladdin comes off a win at Taree in fine fashion, and it won’t be her last win this season.

Ashley Morgan rides, so she’s worth including in picks.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 3. (14:45) Fly to the Cup Maiden (1212m)

#5 – Rubinsky

Looking to cap off consistent form is Rubinsky, who deserves a win after posting three placings from five starts.

The four-year-old mare by Rubick couldn’t hold onto the lead when running fourth at Beaumont, but there is less depth to this field.

We expect her to take advantage and hold them off late.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 4. (15:20) Moonee Beach Hotel Maiden (1412m)

#10 – Lillie Da Pink

Lillie Da Pink is on debut for Lees, and she hasn’t been asked for much in three trials to prepare.

The three-year-old filly by Lonhro is bred to show something early, and she’s drawn to get all favours from barrier three.

A betting push on race day would be an excellent guide.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (16:00) Coffs Coast C1 (1312m)

#4 – Fall for Autumn

Looking to build on a fresh up placing is Fall for Autumn, who ran second at Coffs Harbour behind Love Rat.

The five-year-old son of Hidden Dragon is a past winner on the track, which helps his chances of getting back to winning form.

He also gets the inside draw, which adds to his appeal.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (16:36) Save the Date BM58 (1212m)

#2 – Love Rat

Love Rat scored a win over Fall for Autumn last time out, and that form could be franked in Race 5.

The seven-year-old son of Love Conquers All is a seven-time winner overall, so his experience is enough to take him close.

Punters should get each-way odds on race day.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 7. (17:10) Stay & Play C3 (1010m)

#7 – Come on Glamour

Come on Glamour is already a three-time winner this preparation, so we’re backing the form runner in the field.

She won in heavy conditions at Coffs Harbour last start, where she won by a nose as a $1.65 favourite. It didn’t come easily, but she showed toughness.

Dropping to 54.5kg is enough to see her win again.

Stake: 2 Units
