Eagle Farm racing tips

Race 1. (12:35) Racecourse Village Maiden (1800m)

#6 – Atomic Gozen

Atomic Gozen comes off consecutive second placings at Sunshine Coast, which should be good enough form at Eagle Farm.

The three-year-old filly by Staphanos showed good fight last time out, and a repeat of that run is good enough to go close.

Look for a betting push on race day, which is likely to come.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (13:08) Mekka Raceday Maiden (1000m)

#8 – Immediate

Immediate makes her Queensland debut after showing good form in Victoria, including placings at Pakenham and Geelong.

The three-year-old filly by Better than Ready won a trial at Doomben for Tony Gollan, who should have her ready to fire.

Dropping to 54.5kg is ideal and punters shouldn’t expect big odds.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 3. (13:43) Gallopers Sports Club BM65 (1400m)

#4 – Lone Artist

Lone Artist comes off a win at Rockhampton, and although that’s not the strongest form for racing at Eagle Farm, he dominated that race.

He won by four lengths, taking his record to two wins and two placings from seven starts, so his overall record is impressive.

Getting weight off his back could be enough to see him go well in town.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 4. (14:18) Teddy Bears Picnic Maiden (1400m)

#5 – Righteous Legend

Righteous Legend owns four placings from six starts, including a third placing at Canterbury last start, which is excellent form.

The three-year-old son of Justify should enjoy life in Queensland with a different stable, and the impact could be immediate.

We will be happy with anything around $2.40.

Stake: 3 Units

Race 5. (14:53) Eagle Farm 160 Years C1 (1200m)

#1 – Eccelstone

Value could be with Eccelstone, who didn’t run well either side of a spell, but that form could improve quickly.

The three-year-old son of Exceed and Excel is a past winner at Eagle Farm, so having winning form on the track is ideal.

Angela Jones rides and punters should get nice odds.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 6. (15:28) XXXX Gold C1 (1200m)

#2 – Acapulco Girl

Looking to continue her good form is Acapulco Girl, who won at Ipswich two back before placing at Eagle Farm last time out.

The three-year-old filly by Contributer wasn’t far behind a nice type, so she doesn’t need to improve much to put this field away.

With Ryan Maloney in the saddle, she should go close.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 7. (16:03) Sky Racing BM65 (1000m)

#9 – Cassiere

Looking to improve on a fresh up fourth is Cassiere, who ran fourth at Ipswich behind Deep Vegas.

It wasn’t the best run from the four-year-old daughter of Swiss Ace, but she’s good enough to recover and beat this field.

Punters should get each-way odds on race day.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (16:38) Ladbrokes Quick Multi C3 (1800m)

#4 – Victory Command

The four-year-old son of Pierro owns two wins and seven placings from 18 starts, so he’s good enough to handle this field.

He owns a win and a placing from four attempts at Eagle Farm, so punters should be confident of a tidy effort on Wednesday.

Anything around $5 is a fair price.

Stake: 1 Unit
