Geelong racing tips

Race 1. (13:10) Ladbrokes Hosted Pots Maiden (1440m)

#7 – Skydream @ $5.50

Skydream has yet to show her true ability, but as the betting suggests, she could improve quickly on Monday.

The Mitchell Freedman-trained filly comes off a seventh at Sandown in a race that didn’t suit, and she is due a much better effort.

Based on the market, we’re happy to include her in picks.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (13:45) Prestige Jayco Maiden (1440m)

#6 – Cuttin’ Class @ $4.60

Ciaron Maher lines up Cuttin’ Class, who ran second at Stony Creek on debut before posting back-to-back fifths.

The three-year-old colt is better than his recent efforts suggest, but with fitness on his side, we’re giving him another chance.

The drifting odds make him more of a value pick now.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (14:20) Geelong Taxi Network Maiden (1755m)

#1 – Good Lordy Me @ $6.00

Punters get each-way odds for Good Lordy Me, who looks to cap off four consecutive placings.

The Jack Laing-trained gelding has yet to race at Geelong, but it’s a track that should suit his racing pattern.

It’s an even field, so snap up the value.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (14:55) Rosemont Maiden (1140m)

#6 – Keep It Real @ $2.35

Money has come for Keep It Real to post a maiden win after three consecutive second placings to start his career.

The three-year-old son of Too Darn Hot kicked things off with a second placing at Sale, and although he keeps finding one better, he should win soon.

Barrier three gives him every chance in the run.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 5. (15:30) Geelong Homes BM66 (1140m)

#7 – Gin Spirit @ $5.50

Punters get value each-way odds for Gin Spirit, who didn’t fire in two runs last prep, but she’s much better than that.

The three-year-old filly showed good speed when winning on debut, and she only needs luck in running from the draw.

We’re happy to include her in picks at the odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (16:10) Viatek BM62 (1755m)

#5 – Revolver @ $13.00

Looking to fire a shot at double-figure odds is Revolver, who has yet to finish worse than second from two second-up starts.

The Archie Alexander-trained gelding owns a win and a placing second-up, and he’s going under the radar with bookmakers.

Include him in picks at the price.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (16:50) Rex Gorell BM66 (1540m)

#5 – Lario @ $4.50

Lario was too good for them last time out at Geelong, and he’s good enough to go back-to-back at the track.

The Danny O’Brien-trained gelding scored by a narrow margin, and it was good to see him show some fight close to the line.

Confidence levels are up, so include him in picks.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (17:30) Oasis Turf BM66 (1340m)

#2 – Centennial Park @ $7.50

There is good value available for Centennial Park, who looks to turn around his poor effort last time out.

The four-year-old son of Super Seth didn’t run well at Doomben, but coming to Victoria could see his form improve.

He won his only start at Geelong, which is a good sign.

Stake: 1 Unit
