Hawkesbury racing tips

Race 1. (12:45) Zac Lloyd Champion Jockey Maiden (1100m)

#5 – West of Swindon @ $1.70

It could pay to take the $1.70 for West of Swindon, as the three-year-old colt should be putting this field away with ease.

The Ciaron Maher-trained colt ran behind the likes of Beiwacht and Marhoona, with his latest run coming in the Golden Slipper.

Take the odds and include him in horse racing picks.

Stake: 5 Units

Race 2. (13:20) Brad Widdup Champion Trainer Maiden (1500m)

#10 – Share the Joy @ $4.80

Punters get each-way odds for Share the Joy, who is long overdue a winning effort after posting eight placings from 22 starts.

The six-year-old mare comes off back-to-back placings at Hawkesbury, and something close to that should be enough to win.

Getting in with 55kg is enough to take her close.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (13:55) Clarendon Tavern Maiden (1000m)

#10 – Rajwa @ $3.30

Rajwa has looked good at the trials, posting a win and a placing from four attempts.

The three-year-old filly by I Am Invincible won a trial at Randwick two back before finishing fourth behind Tyreek.

That form should translate well on race day, and James McDonald rides.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 4. (14:35) Pioneer Services Facilities Maiden (1300m)

#13 – Enviable @ $5.50

Chris Waller lines up Enviable, who ran third at Warwick Farm last time out, which was an excellent run.

The three-year-old filly by Frankel is bred to be better than most midweek types and being in the Waller stable doesn’t hurt.

Take the each-way odds before money comes for her.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 5. (15:10) Micway Midway C1 (1100m)

#2 – Clancy @ $3.60

Clancy was too good for them on debut when winning at Warwick Farm, and we fancy his chances of winning.

The four-year-old son of Territories showed good toughness to get the job done, and that’s a good sign for his future.

Getting 3kg off his back is enough to win this race.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 6. (15:50) Peter Smith Memorial BM64 (1800m)

#7 – Rajnish @ $7.50

Rajnish was good enough to win consecutive races at Tamworth earlier this preparation before finishing fourth at Canterbury.

He has been facing in heavy conditions, which hasn’t been easy, but he should be fitter for those runs under his belt.

It’s an even field, and he represents the best value.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (16:25) Pioneer Services Rowley Mile (1600m)

#3 – River of Stars @ $6.50

River of Stars has had two runs in Australia after arriving from Europe, including a third placing behind Arapaho in the Sydney Cup.

1600m isn’t exactly 3200m, but she owns a placing in Europe over the mile, and if she’s ready to go, she could put them away.

The booking of McDonald is a good sign, so watch betting moves.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (17:05) Celebrating Darrin Voss BM64 (1300m)

#3 – O’Invincible @ $5.50

Punters get each-way value for O’Invincible, who is knocking on the door after posting placings at Canterbury and Kembla Grange.

The four-year-old mare by Snitzel won her only start at Hawkesbury, so owning winning form on the track is a bonus.

Include her in picks at the current price.

Stake: 1.5 Units
