Hong Kong Classic Cup Form Guide & Tips
(1) Little Paradise (Best Bet – $3.50)
Loving its work after three consecutive wins, and he’s the testing material in this race.
His win in the Hong Kong Classic Mile was brilliant, scoring by two lengths, and that’s the best form guide for this contest.
(2) Numbers ($3.50)
Unbeaten in two starts at Sha Tin, including a Group 3 win last time out. There is plenty to like about that form, hence the odds.
We’re not leaving him out of our picks, especially considering his Australian form, including a fifth behind Aeliana in the Derby.
(3) Sagacious Life (Best Each Way – $7.50)
Fourth behind Little Paradise last start, but that’s one of the better form lines for the race, and he represents good value at the odds.
Having Zac Purton riding from barrier four adds to his chances.
(4) Invincible Iris ($9.00)
Couldn’t keep his winning run going when sixth last start, but he’s a legitimate first four chance here.
Punters have specked him at each-way odds, and although he needs to lift to win, he can’t be ruled out.
(5) Infinite Resolve ($15.00)
All around the mark recently but getting a wide draw doesn’t help. He has time to find cover, but there are better wins hopes in the race.
A first four chance.
(6) Beauty Bolt (Best Roughie – $10.00)
Third behind Little Paradise at $7.50 last start, so punters get better odds this time around.
James McDonald is a big race rider, and he could give him a sweet run throughout before hitting the line with purpose.
(7) Patch of Cosmo ($19.00)
He scored a good fresh up win before battling last start. Improvement is needed to figure in the finish
(8) Akashvani ($26.00)
Mixing his form this time in, including a win two back. Needs to find a few lengths on his latest figures.
(9) Circuit Grand Slam ($51.00)
Since rising in class, he hasn’t been able to find winning form. That’s a big worry, hence the big odds.
(10) Windlord ($151.00)
Connections are having a go, so good on them. However, his last start run was not good.
(11) Dazzling Fit ($34.00)
Third in a much easier race last start, so the $34 is a touch short for our liking.
(12) Lucky Sam Gor ($26.00)
Another runner that is slightly shorter in the market than what we expected. Would have priced him at around $40.
(13) Pope Cody ($71.00)
Struggling to post any wins or placings, and that’s unlikely to change.
(14) Stormy Grove ($15.00)
He got the better of many runners in this field, but none of the stars. That’s the big problem, and we don’t think it’s the best form guide.
(15) Aerodynamics ($51.00)
He didn’t fire last time out. That’s not a good sign.
(16) Fortune Boy ($67.00)
Struggling and a win would be a massive upset.
