Inglis Sires’ Form Guide & Tips
(1) Fireball ($21.00)
He wasn’t too far away in the Golden Slipper, but it’s hard to know where to place him in this race. Rising in distance could be ideal, so the $21 odds might be worth including in first four bets.
(2) Tornado Valley ($18.00)
All around the mark throughout his career, and he’s another runner that could enter first four calculations.
Missing the Golden Slipper could have been the best thing for him, so he’s fresh and ready to show something.
(3) Alibaba ($20.00)
3.6 lengths behind Streisand in the Blue Diamond, which has already produced a stack of winners in Sydney.
It’s tough to rule him out of selections, and he’s another runner at big odds who is worth considering in the Inglis Sires.
(4) Campione D’Italia (Best Each Way – $3.80)
A big effort to run fourth in the Slipper after settling back. He ran some of the best closing sectionals, and it’s why he’s well-backed to win.
We think Streisand was better, but he is a colt who should suit rising to 1400m.
(5) Paradoxium (Best Roughie – $12.00)
Not much went to plan in the Slipper after sitting wide on a hot tempo. He only got tired in the last 100m, so we’re happy to give him another chance.
We’re hoping that he can find the front from a wide barrier, which could increase his chances. He was recently purchased by Yulong, which is a good sign.
(6) Zambales ($12.00)
A nice enough type, but $12 is a touch short for a runner without a win. His day will come, but there are better bets in the win market. However, he is being included for first four picks.
(7) Rich on Bubbles ($26.00)
Loving its work with three consecutive wins, but they haven’t come at this level, hence the odds. A win would surprise.
(8) Outspan ($31.00)
Second behind Warwoven last start, but he might be a length or two behind the best in this race.
(9) Wolf Gap ($17.00)
Not far away when running third behind Paradoxium last time out. Drawing wide isn’t ideal, and he could struggle to show his best out there.
(10) Am I Dreaming ($35.00)
He won by a half-length on debut at Hawkesbury. This is a steep rise in class, but he’s an interesting runner to watch.
(11) Dr Hook ($46.00)
Yet to finish better than fifth, and we don’t see that changing at Group 1 level.
(12) Streisand (Best Bet – $3.30)
Her run for second in the Slipper was incredible. She was on a hot tempo, and the only on-pace runner to be there in the finish.
She is a gutsy type, who will get a dream run from barrier five, and we believe she is the best runner in the field.
(13) Miss Chanel ($13.00)
Yet to win but she is a nice enough type. We don’t know if she’s up to his level of racing just yet, but there is good market respect.
(14) Rachini ($14.00)
She comes off an easy win at Wyong, but Bjorn Baker has better chances in this race.
