Inglis Sprint Form Guide & Tips
(1) Nashville Jack ($8.00)
The second favourite following a good run for second at Gold Coast. He needs to improve to beat the favourite, but he should run well enough to figure in the finish.
(2) Getta Good Feeling ($15.00)
A lovely type in the making, but she will need more distance than 1200m. Wait for her to line up over 1600-2000m later this autumn.
(3) Alpha Sofie (Best Bet – $2.60)
She’s gunning for five consecutive wins, and her latest victory at Caulfield was a powerful display of running.
The daughter of Capitalist has a nice turn-of-foot, and we think she’s the clear best bet in the Inglis Sprint.
(4) La Astro Chat ($23.00)
Nothing wrong with his form this preparation, including a tidy win at Caulfield last time out. It’s not an easy field, but he could enter first four calculations.
(5) Trapper John ($11.00)
Unbeaten after two runs. We backed him last time out, and although he didn’t win as easily as expected, it was a tough effort.
Barrier 12 should be good for him down the straight, and he’ll have room to move out wide.
(6) Night Agent ($101.00)
Big odds following a maiden win. He would need to find a few lengths on that effort.
(7) Agarwood ($21.00)
A fair run for second fresh up, and if he shows his best 2YO form, he should be right in the finish.
Coming to Melbourne could see his form improve, and if you have room, he’s worth including in first four picks.
(8) Signature Scent ($15.00)
Fifth behind Alpha Sofie fresh up, and there is improvement to come. Drawn to get a soft run, so it could add value at double-figure odds.
(9) Jenni the Ninja ($27.00)
Two good wins to start her career before failing to fire last start. Hard to recommend on the recent effort.
(10) Rohesia ($17.00)
She is always around the mark, but the strength of this field could be too much for her. Watch for any late betting moves.
(11) Teine Aulelei ($15.00)
She will get back in the run and look to close off stylishly. The 1200m might be short of her best, so it could pay to wait for something longer.
(12) Toronado Queen (Best Each Way – $12.00)
Two wins from three starts and she blew them away when winning by 3.8 lengths at Cranbourne.
She is one of the more progressive fillies in the race, so we’re taking the value odds.
(13) Fundamental Nature ($15.00)
Unbeaten in two runs, so she’s an interesting runner. Money has come for her at odds, but this is a solid rise in class.
Look for a strong betting push on race day.
(14) Flying Awasita ($251.00)
A debut winner at Wangaratta, but this should be too strong for her.
(15) Layla (Best Roughie – $14.00)
Broke maidens with a five-length win at Cranbourne. She is a solid bet at the odds, and her potential is through the roof.
Look for her to settle handy on the speed down the straight and hold on gamely.
