Ipswich Racing Tips for Wednesday, December 3rd 2025

We have expert betting tips for racing at Ipswich on Wednesday, which includes 10 races at the midweek meeting.

Punters get good value odds for the Queensland meeting, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Ipswich racing tips

Race 1. (13:25) Tab Maiden (1200m)

#11 – Run to You

Looking to make a winning debut is Run to You, who comes off a trial placing at Deagon, and she is forward enough to win on debut.

The three-year-old filly by Menari is bred to show early speed, and the Angela Jones/Tony Gollan combo doesn’t often miss.

Look for a betting push as a guide.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 2. (14:03) Barrier Reef Pools Maiden (1200m)

#1 – Cantankerous

Boasting three placings from five starts is Cantakerous, who has been prepared with back-to-back trial placings.

This isn’t an overly strong field for the son of Rubick, and he’s good enough to resume as a winner on Wednesday.

Barrier four is ideal, so he gets every chance.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 3. (14:38) Racing Hearts C3 (1100m)

#2 – Impendor

Looking to go one better than his last start is Impendor, who ran second at Randwick behind Petticoat.

That’s a strong form guide for midweek racing at Ipswich, and we expect money to come for the Matthew Dunn-trained runner.

He’s yet to finish worse than second at the track, which is another positive.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 4. (15:13) Tempus Two BM68 (1350m)

#2 – Smart Recognition

The five-year-old showed good speed to win his first two starts this campaign, and he ran close last time out at Ballina.

He owns a win and two placings from seven starts at Ipswich, and he doesn’t mind the sting out of the surface.

3kg comes off his back to help with the weight.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (15:48) Gordon's Gin Maiden (1350m)

#10 – Carbonara

Carbonara hasn’t been far away from the prize this preparation, including placings at Sunshine Coast and Doomben.

The three-year-old filly by Star Turn was only a length behind the winner last time out, and she doesn’t need to improve too much on that.

Barrier 16 isn’t ideal, but she has time to find cover.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (16:23) Ray White Ipswich C3 (1100m)

#5 – Rose Noir

Rose Noir finished off last preparation with a win and three consecutive placings, and she likes to hit the ground running.

The five-year-old mare by Divine Prophet owns a win and two placings from three fresh up starts, which is an excellent record.

This is a tough field, but her statistics read well.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 7. (16:58) Tempus Two Handicap (1100m)

#9 – Artopia

Artopia is making a solid rise in class, but she won by 2.5 lengths last time out, which is an encouraging performance.

The five-year-old mare by Flying Artie prefers running on soft tracks, and she is good enough to figure in the finish.

Look for value double-figure odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (17:33) Ipswich Party Hire Handicap (1666m)

#5 – Perri Lass

Perri Lass has improved with every run this preparation, including back-to-back placings at Sunshine Coast and Ipswich.

The five-year-old mare by Pierro should get all favours from an inside draw and with 3kg coming off her back.

She is only a one-time winner, but the elusive second win is coming.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 9. (18:10) Seven News BM68 (1666m)

#10 – Lovey Dovey

Chris Waller lines up Lovey Dovey, who comes off a third placing at Doomben, and there is more improvement to come.

The four-year-old mare by Pierro scored her only win at Ipswich, so having winning experience at the track is ideal form.

Getting in with 55kg makes her tough to beat.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 10. (18:45) Great Northern Handicap (1350m)

#12 – Alpine Eagle

Alpine Eagle didn’t fire at Kilcoy last time out, but that followed a second placing at Toowoomba.

The Currie-trained gelding doesn’t meet an overly tough field on Wednesday, so we’re backing him to win the last race.

It’s another good ride for Jones, who could have a big day.

Stake: 1 Unit
