Ipswich racing tips

Race 1. (14:38) Tab Maiden (1700m)

#6 – Enidzel

The four-year-old is getting close to scoring a maiden win after placing in consecutive races this preparation.

He ran second at Beaumont before placing at Gold Coast, and this isn’t a strong field, so he could take advantage.

It’s his best chance to win, so include him in picks.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (15:13) Great Northern Handicap (1990m)

#3 – Bokuden

Bokuden has been all around the mark this season, and with three placings from four starts at Ipswich, he should be tough to beat.

The six-year-old son of Deep Impact is a four-time winner overall, and this is his best opportunity to post another win.

Getting 3kg off his back from Jett Newman adds to his appeal.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 3. (15:48) Ray White Ipswich BM65 (2190m)

#9 – Will It Snow

Will It Snow is enjoying a successful campaign, including a win at Gold Coast followed by placings at Gold Coast and Ipswich.

The four-year-old son of Super Seth was a short margin behind the winner last start, and any easing of the surface adds to his winning chances.

He’s well-bred, and he should be tough to beat.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 4. (16:23) Barrier Reef Pools Maiden (1350m)

#12 – Saturdays Girl

Showing much better speed last start was Saturdays Girl, who ran third at Ballina after hitting the line with purpose.

The four-year-old daughter of Zoustar will likely settle back in the run, but she’s good enough to finish over the top of them.

Look for each-way odds on race day,

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (16:58) Tempus Two BM65 (1700m)

#8 – San Jose Boy

San Jose Boy is fitter after two runs back from a spell, including a third placing at Sunshine Coast last time out.

The four-year-old son of Better than Ready owns two wins and six placings, and given the strength of this field, he could add to his winning tally.

Barrier three is ideal, so he should lob into a nice spot and hit the line hard.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 6. (17:33) Seven News C2 (1200m)

#13 – The Stars

Chris Waller lines up The Stars, who scored at Newcastle last preparation before placing at Canterbury in heavy conditions.

The four-year-old mare by Zoustar comes off a trial win at Beaumont, and she should be ready to fire in a fresh state.

Look for her to settle midfield before coming with a late run.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 7. (18:05) Ipswich Party Hire BM65 (1100m)

#5 – Jimmyinthejungle

Jimmyinthejungle owns two wins and two placings from five starts, and he should be better for his recent effort at Toowoomba.

The four-year-old son of Jungle Cat won by 4.5 lengths three runs ago, and something close to that would be good enough.

Getting 3kg off his back is enough to take him close.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (18:35) The Industry School BM65 (1350m)

#10 – Black Minto

Black Minto is a consistent runner with a win and four consecutive placings from her last five starts.

The five-year-old mare by Spill the Beans likes racing at Ipswich, and her best form comes over the distance with two wins and a placing.

It’s a tough field, but includer her at each-way odds.

Stake: 1 Unit
