Lismore racing tips

Race 1. (12:00) Viva Racing BM58 (1210m)

#2 – Miss Uchitel @ $3.30

Miss Uchitel hasn’t been too far away from a win this preparation, including a third placing fresh up at Sunshine Coast.

The Matthew Dunn-trained five-year-old is unbeaten in two starts at Lismore, which adds to her winning claims on Friday.

We’re including her in our picks at $3.30, which could firm on race day.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 3. (13:20) Westpac Rescue Helicopter Maiden (1310m)

#1 – Hezanuff @ $4.60

Punters get each-way odds for Hezanuff, who didn’t fire at Coffs Harbour last time out, but that run was too bad to be true.

The five-year-old son of Rich Enuff is good enough to rebound and show something like what he produced fresh up at Grafton.

The each-way odds are worth including in picks for Friday’s racing.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 4. (14:00) Lismore Floor Coverings Maiden (1526m)

#1 – Andros @ $7.50

Andros got back to good form last time out when second at Murwillumbah, and that form should stack up nicely here.

The five-year-old son of Vancouver ran at big odds last start, and punters get value odds in what should be an even contest.

He’s worth including in picks at the current odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (14:40) M&T Tyres BM58 (1210m)

#1 – Written Fame @ $2.80

Written Fame is a three-time winner from 14 starts, and some of his best form comes at Lismore with a win and a placing.

The four-year-old son of Winning Rupert is also a past winner second-up, and he wasn’t all that far away when sixth at Grafton fresh up.

We’re happy to stick with him, and the odds aren’t surprising.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 6. (15:20) Lismore Paint Centre C1 (1110m)

#4 – Got the Smarts @ $4.40

Each-way value is with Got the Smarts, who finished third fresh up at Grafton, and natural improvement takes her close.

The five-year-old mare by Smart Missile will need some luck from a wide barrier, but she will get back and finish off stoutly.

It’s a tough field, but she is worth including in picks.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 7. (16:00) Rob Powell Plumbing C1 (1526m)

#4 – Youcompleteme @ $4.20

Youcompleteme was too good for them at Gatton last time out, which should be a good form guide for this contest.

The three-year-old son of I Am Immortal is a much better runner this preparation, and punters get each-way odds to snap up.

We expect a betting push on race day, so take the current price.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 8. (16:40) Lismore Workers Club BM58 (1410m)

#1 – Viadelamore @ $7.00

Looking to go one better than last time out is Viadelamore, who finished second at Gold Coast.

The Daniel Bowen-trained six-year-old is only a three-time winner overall, but it’s about time he got back to winning form.

He has been specked at each-way odds, which is a good sign.

Stake: 1 Unit
