Last Card Louie has drifted in betting markets after opening at $2.35, but he won’t get a better chance to win.
The four-year-old son of Tarzino showed good speed when placing at Ballarat and Bendigo, and something close to that is good enough.
Include him in picks in a six-horse field.
Stake: 1 Unit
Looking to improve on her debut third placing is Kiwi Raider, who wasn’t close to the winner, but it was still a solid effort.
The three-year-old filly by Per Incanto didn’t have much luck in running after being caught wide, so she had excuses.
Money has come for her, and that’s an excellent sign.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Each-way value is with Kagemusha, who battled well in a small field at Moe last time out.
The three-year-old son of Churchill has more upside than most in this field, which should be enough to take him close.
Take the odds before more money comes for the loose favourite.
Stake: 1 Unit
Blue Bandit ran well for third on debut as a $21 chance, and we’re not surprised to see more money come for him.
The four-year-old has been patiently handled so far, and although there are some nice enough types in this race, he’s good enough to win.
Look for him to push forward and be tough to run down.
Stake: 1 Unit
Gee and Tee has been right around the mark throughout her career, and it’s about time she put together a winning effort.
The four-year-old mare by Time Test opened at $5 before firming into $4.20, which is a significant betting move at Moe.
We expect her to settle handy and kick well.
Stake: 1 Unit
Angus Townley lines up Taikyu, who owns a win and a placing from nine starts, which is a handy enough record.
The five-year-old son of Rulership kicked things off this prep with a fifth at Moe in heavy conditions, and he has improvement to come.
1.5kg comes off his back, so include him at double-figure odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
Gunning for back-to-back wins is Omanori, who couldn’t have been more impressive with a 3.8-length win.
The four-year-old son of Dundeel has finished out of the money once from five starts, including three placings, so the form checks out.
60kg is tough to carry, but his class should take him close.
Stake: 3 Units
Form is with Intriguing State, who won at Bairnsdale before placing in two subsequent runs.
The seven-year-old gelding was only a half-length behind the winner fresh up, and a repeat of that should be enough to win at Moe.
We’re happy with the $3.90 odds available.
Stake: 2 Units
Houso ended last preparation with three consecutive placings, which is good enough form to contend with this level of racing.
The six-year-old son of Rich Enuff runs his best races over this distance with two starts for two second placings, so the sprint distance is ideal.
The odds are worth including in horse racing picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
