Moe racing tips

Race 1. (13:30) Able on Site Services Maiden (1208m)

#3 – Highstrung @ $4.20

Highstrung has been backed and beaten a few times this preparation, but he hasn’t been too far away from posting a win.

The three-year-old son of Admire Mars is bred to be handy, and with two placings this prep, it’s about time he broke through for the win.

Take the $4.20 odds available with bookmakers.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 2. (14:00) Eureka Garages Maiden (1208m)

#5 – Mini Angel @ $1.60

Punters will need to take short odds for Mini Angel, but this is a race she should be winning on Thursday.

The Ciaron Maher-trained four-year-old owns six placings from nine starts, and this is one of the easiest fields she has faced.

Include the short odds in horse racing multi bets.

Stake: 4 Units

Race 3. (14:30) JP Conveyancing Maiden (2069m)

#6 – Tee Eight @ $4.00

Each-way value is with Tee Eight, who is better than what he showed when running eighth at Sale last time out.

The four-year-old son of Embellish looked much better when placing at Bairnsdale and Hamilton, so something close to that form is good enough.

After opening at $5.50, money has come for him.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (15:00) Cloud Chat Group Maiden (1008m)

#10 – Zourosa @ $1.80

Looking to improve on her debut effort for fourth is Zourosa, who should have benefitted from a recent spell.

The three-year-old filly by Zoustar was no match for them at Morphettville, but she has since returned to win a trial at Caulfield.

We expect that form to hold up well at Moe.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 5. (15:30) RMBL Investments BM62 (1108m)

#5 – Unifies @ $5.00

Looking to score back-to-back wins is Unifies, who won by just under a length against a tidy maiden field.

The four-year-old son of Starspangledbanner shouldn’t mind racing in heavy conditions, and it’s good to see money come for him.

We’re happy to include him in our picks at the current odds.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (16:00) Kiss Print Solutions BM62 (1614m)

#7 – Vegas on Fire @ $8.00

Looking to cap off consistent form is Vegas on Fire, who ran second at Seymour last time out in heavy conditions.

The six-year-old mare by Tivaci is a five-time winner overall, and although there is a short-priced favourite in the race, she is good enough to cause an upset.

Dropping in weight with a 2kg claimer riding is a bonus.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (16:30) Team Staffing Solutions BM62 (1614m)

#2 – Hot Too Go @ $2.35

It was good to see Hot Too Go score an overdue win last start, and he might have matured nicely with the spell.

The four-year-old son of Too Darn Hot has experience in big races, so we can’t see him staying in BM62 grade for too long.

Take the $2.35 odds before money comes for him on race day.

Stake: 3 Units

Race 8. (17:00) Ladbrokes Quick Multi BM62 (1208m)

#7 – Bohemian Angel @ $5.00

Looking to get back to winning form is Bohemian Angel, who won at Ballarat two back before failing to fire at Seymour last time out.

The daughter of Harry Angel didn’t have all favours in the run last start, so we’re prepared to forgive that effort.

Take the $5 odds before money comes for her late.

Stake: 1 Unit
