Rotorua racing tips

Money has come for Litteral throughout the week after finishing second in consecutive starts, including one at Rotorua last time out.
The three-year-old filly by Redwood is bred to handle wet tracks, and it’s only a matter of time before she breaks through for a win.
Take the $2.50 before it shortens on race day.

Running at value each-way odds is Don’s Legacy, who finished second at this track last time out in similar conditions.
The five-year-old son of Bullbars has yet to win from 10 starts, but he’s due a win, and there are no superstars in this field.
Getting some weight off its back could take it close.
Stake: 1 Unit
Team Rogerson has good success at Rotorua in the winter, so we’re including Join the Dance in our horse racing picks.
The three-year-old filly by Tarzino has more upside than most runners in this field, and she looked good when running second earlier this prep.
Anything close to her best should be enough to go close.
Stake: 1 Unit
Solidify looked like a real up-and-comer at one stage, which saw him run well in Australia, but his form has tapered off since.
He might have been given a few too many runs as a youngster, but we’re keeping the faith with the Rogerson-trained runner.
He has stakes wins to his name, so class could be enough to get through the conditions.

New Plymouth racing tips
—
Gunning for three consecutive wins is Freebelle, who scored at New Plymouth two back before winning at Trentham.
The Robbie Patterson-trained mare loves heavy surfaces, and considering the lack of depth in this field, we’re not surprised by the short odds.
She’s worth including in horse racing multis this Saturday.
Stake: 4 Units
Turn It Up resumed with a tidy second placing fresh up, and although that came on a synthetic track, it’s still a good form guide.
The three-year-old filly by Tivaci ran third on debut at Otaki in soft conditions, so she handles wet tracks, which is good to see.
Punters get each-way odds to snap up, so include her in picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
Looking to score an upset win over the short-priced favourite is Fancypants, who hasn’t been too far away from scoring an overdue win.
The four-year-old son of Echoes of Heaven owns a win and a placing in heavy conditions, and dropping in weight to 54kg is ideal.
It should be a close finish, and his experience could be enough to edge them out.
Stake: 1 Unit
Jaeger won well to exit maidens last start at Otaki, and he’s good enough to rise through the grades.
The three-year-old son of Time Test gets all favours off the inside draw with 2kg off his back, and his best form has come in the wet.
Take the $2.60 odds before more money comes.
Stake: 2 Units
